POSITION SUMMARY
As an Office Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our Business Services Manager with bookkeeping and accounting functions to maintain our financial records. You will also serve as the primary backup for all duties of the Administrative Assistant and provide support to other staff as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES<ul><li>
Process cash receipts and disbursements.</li><li>
Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.</li><li>
Invoice and collect accounts receivables.</li><li>
Maintain filing and proper storage of accounting records. I</li><li>
input data into the accounting system.</li><li>
Prepare deposits and process remote deposits.</li><li>
Assist with the preparation of audit workpapers for year-end audit.</li><li>
Maintain a PAC database of PAC contributions to reconcile with the government affairs director's database.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>
Serve as the primary backup to the Administrative Assistant in their absence, including phone and lobby coverage, incoming and outgoing mail, etc.</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Knowledge:
Proficiency in personal computer and various word processing software programs. Knowledge of telephone operation and etiquette. Typing speed of 30 wpm.
Education/Training:
Business college graduate with courses in database and word processing software. Must be a high school graduate.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of experience in database management.
Travel:
Occasional overnight travel required when the annual convention is held on a neighbor island.
