<div><p><b>DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p>

<div><div><ul><li>The Associate Deans/Academic Work-Study supports the Seminary's Academic offices. This work-study student works closely with the Associate Deans (Rev. Christopher Ciccarino and Dr. Dianne Traflet), the Academic Resource Specialist (Andrew Brenycz), the Coordinator of Graduate &amp; International Services (Diane Carr), the Institutional Research Coordinator (Eilish Harrington) and the Secretary for Support Services (Elizabeth Vacchiano). This student will work a minimum of two hour blocks of time weekdays between 8:30am and 4:30pm. He is responsible for basic clerical work such as photocopying, typing, running errands, and mailings as well as more complex tasks and assistance. The student will work on special projects, including editing and research, relating to the academic offices of ICSST.</li></ul>
<ul><li>At the beginning of each semester the Associate Deans/Academic Work-Study will, with the approval of the Associate Dean and Academic Resource Coordinator, submit a work schedule. It is imperative that this schedule be met, so the work-study student is encouraged to consider the demands of mid-term exams, final exams and research papers prior to committing to a schedule.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Once his shift begins, he must enter his start time on Student Employee Timesheet site. Then he should check with the Academic Resource Coordinator for the day's priorities. If there is no pressing matter, the work-study student may prioritize the contents of his &quot;inbox&quot; on his own and begin working. At the end of his shift, he must complete his Student Employee Timesheet ; he should enter the time he finished his work</li></ul>
<ul><li>The work-study student will, along with a Seminary employee, represent the Seminary at one Graduate Open House per semester and at various lectures (generally two per semester) in the Seminary Chapel. For these events, his responsibilities include:
<div><ul><li>Mailing announcements</li></ul>
<ul><li>Preparing Reserved Seating List (for lectures)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Preparing lecture mailing sign up (give to the Coordinator of Graduate &amp; International Services after event)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Setting up an information table</li></ul>
<ul><li>Preparing and ensuring placement of Reserved Seating Signs (for lectures)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Greeting guests and providing information</li></ul>

</li></ul></div><p>5. The work-study student may work the lectures and open houses to count toward his weekly hours or for extra pay for that week.</p></div></div><br>

What you will do:</b></div><p>
The Hospice Social Worker is a professional who coordinates and directs support services to hospice patients in their home environment (private residence, skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, hospital, etc.) based on individual needs. The Hospice Social Worker facilitates the provision of supportive services to assist to meet the needs of the patient and caregivers, with a holistic approach, keeping with the patient and caregiver&rsquo;s beliefs and goals of care. Provides consultation and education for patients, caregivers, and the Hospice IDG Team. The Hospice Social Worker coordinates with the Hospice IDG Team, patient, caregivers, providers, Medical Director, referral sources, community sources and the Hospice IDG members to work toward plan of care goals. The Hospice Social Worker documents in the patient&rsquo;s medical records in a timely manner according to agency requirements. The Hospice Social Worker provides patient care based on provider&rsquo;s orders, departmental policies and procedures, regulatory guidelines and best practice. The Hospice Social Worker attends and actively participates in IDG and team meetings. The Hospice Social Worker participates in Holiday staffing.</p><p><b>

<p>Day-time Library Services Worker is a work-study employee who works a four-hour block of time weekdays any time between 9 AM and 5 PM. Upon arriving, the Day-Time Worker on Monday will begin by reading the shelves in the Reference Section of the Reading Room. See above in the description of the duties for the Evening Shelving Worker what &quot;reading the shelves&quot; means. The Worker on Tuesday will &quot;read the shelves&quot; in the section with books whose alpha-numeric label begins with the letters BX (dogmatic and moral theology, canon law). The Worker on Wednesday will &quot;read the shelves&quot; with books marked C to Z. After reading the shelves, the Day-time Worker must check in with Stella Wilkins to see what other tasks are required that day. Sometimes you will be asked to push a cart of library materials over to the Cataloging Department of the Walsh Library or bring a cart over to that same department so as to pick-up and bring back to the Seminary Library materials that have been catalogued for us, such as new books. Sometimes you will be asked to stamp with the seminary library's official stamp any new books that we have received. Or you might be asked to rearrange a cart of new books according to their Library of Congress Classification number. Sometimes you will be asked to sit at the circulation desk and monitor who is admitted to the library, help library patrons with the checking in or out of library materials, collect fines for materials that are returned beyond their due date, or send over-due notices. If, while you are staffing the circulation desk, a library patron has difficulties with one of our computers, please bring this to the attention of Library Assistant Andrew Brenycz in the Staff Office. Mr. Brenycz is the library's computer expert and has supervision of all our library computers. A Day-time Worker who is well acquainted with our library's resources and has research skills might presume to assist or be called upon to assist a patron who is not familiar with the location of materials in our library or a patron who is having difficulty researching a topic. Otherwise, the experts in these areas is our librarian, Stella Wilkins.</p></div></div><br>
