Overview Make your mark as an Offshore ROV Supervisor at Horizon Geosciences! The Offshore ROV Supervisor leads ROV teams and is responsible for offshore ROV systems resource management and safe execution of ROV operations. Responsibilities <ul> <li>Assists ROV Superintendents / Party Chiefs in determining field solutions & resolving Project obstacles.</li> <li>Takes full responsibility of the Health Safety & Welfare of offshore personnel with strict compliance to HSC Safety Policies & Procedures.</li> <li>Supervises the maintenance repairs & troubleshooting of the assigned ROV systems.</li> <li>Acts as a single point of contact for all ROV operations and daily communications with the Client Rep offshore Party Chief and onshore management teams.</li> <li>Conducts all the daily ROV work scope briefings with the Client Reps Vessel / Installation Managers and ROV team members to thoroughly discuss the scope purpose and successful proposed methodology for job execution.</li> <li>Supervises the administration of all ROV documents which include the Daily Tool box talks DSRs Dive logs Dive Permits system maintenance documents system lifting gear inspections & re certifications.</li> <li>On offshore spreads where no Party Chiefs / OPMs are present such as standalone ROV projects (Drill Support) etc. ROV Supervisor acts as sole point of contact and also takes responsibility for PDR Project briefing and debriefing in conjunction with PM and ROV Manager.</li> <li>Allocates tasks and supervises the ROV pilot / techs in conjunction with their experience / training & monitors the team performance on a regular basis for feedback on training recommendations & improvements.</li> <li>Ensures compliance to the HSC Offshore Evaluation Forms and regular assessment of competencies for all associated ROV personnel.</li> <li>Compilation & issuance of all Offshore Personnel Evaluation Forms for all ROV Pilot Techs (including Freelance Personnel) under the ROV Supervisors responsibility on each project.</li> <li>Evaluates all daily weekly and monthly maintenance schedules for the assigned ROV systems and regularly advises onshore management team for any critical spares and technical support required to assist.</li> <li>Ensures that all permanent ROV modifications are reviewed documented & approved as an Engineering note with the ROV base.</li> <li>Ensures that all ROV equipment tooling and any ancillary sensors are in compliance with all applicable rules regulations & safety requirements and also possess their respective maintenance & calibration certificates.</li> <li>Authorised to terminate the operations if the ROV system can prejudice the safety and satisfactory performance of the task undertaken.</li> <li>Assist in all safety inspections & ROV Systems Audit to ensure that the workplace is maintained in a safe and tidy condition.</li> <li>Ensures that risk assessments are carried out.  Contract Duration

 Minimum Requirements
 
 
 
 HND in Engineering.
 
 4 Years of in-service inspection experience.
 
 Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
 
 Computer literate in MS Word and Excel and knowledgeable in relevant software tools and specifications.
 
 Conversant with using Meridium or similar Data Management Software.
 
 Awareness in risk based inspection, Corrosion/corrosion control and damage mechanisms.
 
 Basic awareness in relevant plant processes and materials.
 
 Knowledge in the following inspection technologies: UT, MT, PT, RT, and Advanced NDT.
 
 Conversant with relevant international codes and specifications.
 
 Holds certification in API 510/570 or equivalent, API 653 as required.
 
 
 
 
 Job Requirement
 
 
 
 Execute and support inspection activities during EPC and Startup phase until handover to permanent Asset to ensure a safe, efficient and reliable operation of the new facilities by early defect detections in accordance with established policies, procedures, instructions and targets.
 
 Carries out external visual examinations complemented with NDT examination as required on Company equipment such as vessels, boilers, heat exchangers, pressure safety devices, piping, lifting equipment according to Company established policies and procedures and issues inspection reports.
 
 Performs preliminary integrity assessment of static equipment and piping according to Company established policies and procedures, interprets findings and issues inspection reports using Meridium or similar software.
 
 Inspects maintenance and capital project works being carried out in the field, to ensure that established maintenance practices and procedures are followed for welding, painting, fabrication and installation as per policy and in compliance with relevant applicable international codes and standard.
 
 Carries out or supervises NDT tests on mechanical equipment and piping according to the instructions from Supervisor or Corrosion Engineer. Tests include dye penetrant examination, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, hardness tests, eddy current, IRIS, thermography, PMI, Metallography, boroscopy and use of special equipment to determine DFT of paint and ferrometer for stainless steel welding tests and other tests and inspections as required. Follows all required safety procedures while carrying out the work.
 
 Initiates inspection recommendation using Meridium and/or via appropriate notification and tracks progress to completion to ensure mitigation of potential risks.
 
 Maintains company inspection instruments, tools, and equipment in good and operational condition. Coordinates for planning and procuring of additional instruments as required.
 
 Undertakes additional specific inspection related duties as directed by Inspection Engineer/Senior Inspection Engineer to fulfil annual targets and special tasks.
 
 Ensures proper maintenance of inspection reports and records. Maintains various records in the computerized systems, updating inspection test results and other data as required. Implements inspection recommendation by notifications raised through SAP and then tracking the progress until completion of work.
 
 Coordinates and supervises contractor resources team when required to ensure service compliance with company requirements as well as quality of service provided.
