 As a Structural Designer II, you will be part of a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions to our clients in the energy and resources sectors. You will support conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed engineering design for offshore and onshore structures, ensuring alignment with project specifications, industry standards, and Company's quality expectations.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities

 Develop and review structural design drawings, models, and reports for offshore substructures, decks, and bridge systems.
 </li>

 Prepare detailed engineering deliverables, including layouts, sections, fabrication drawings, and 3D models.
 </li>

 Collaborate with engineers and other discipline designers to ensure coordinated and clash-free designs.
 </li>

 Support design activities across conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering phases.

 Perform design verification, checking, and quality control of drawings and models.

 8+ years of experience in structural design, preferably within the offshore oil &amp; gas sector.

 Proven experience in detailed design, conceptual studies, FEED, and offshore structures including substructures, decks, and bridges.
 </li>

 Strong offshore design background including steel structures, load calculations, and fabrication requirements.

<ul><li>Review and approve structural design deliverables from EPC contractors including:
<ul><li>Design basis, calculations, drawings, and specifications
</li><li>Offshore jackets, topsides, bridges, modules, decks, helidecks
</li><li>Onshore/offshore steel structures, pipe racks, foundations
</li></ul></li><li>Ensure compliance with:
<ul><li>ADNOC Engineering Standards
</li><li>International codes (API, AISC, BS, Eurocode, ISO, DNV)
</li></ul></li><li>Perform independent checks on critical structural calculations when required.
</li><li>Review structural analyses (in-place, transportation, lifting, fatigue, seismic, blast, and accidental loads).
</li><li>Provide technical input for constructability, operability, and maintainability.
</li></ul>PMC / Interface Management
<ul><li>Act as PMC focal point for all structural engineering matters.
</li><li>Interface with:
<ul><li>Client (ADNOC Offshore)
</li><li>EPC contractors
</li><li>Other disciplines (process, piping, naval, geotechnical, construction)
</li></ul></li><li>Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, constructability and design review workshops.
</li></ul>Project Support
<ul><li>Support project phases:
<ul><li>FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation &amp; Commissioning
</li></ul></li><li>Review and comment on:
<ul><li>Vendor documents
</li><li>Fabrication and installation methodologies
</li><li>Lifting plans and transportation analyses
</li></ul></li><li>Support site activities during fabrication and offshore installation as required.
</li></ul>Quality, HSE &amp; Compliance
<ul><li>Ensure all structural designs meet HSE, quality, and ADNOC offshore safety requirements.
</li><li>Participate in audits, technical queries (TQs), and management of change (MOC).
</li><li>Ensure lessons learned are captured and applied.</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div>

Expected
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master&rsquo;s preferred).
</li><li>Chartered Engineer status (CEng / PE) is an advantage.
</li><li>15+ years of experience in structural engineering.
</li><li>Minimum 8&ndash;10 years in offshore oil &amp; gas projects.
</li><li>Proven PMC / Consultant experience with EPC contractor oversight.
</li><li>Strong experience with ADNOC Offshore or Middle East offshore projects is highly preferred.
</li><li>Offshore structural design &amp; review
</li><li>Jackets, topsides, offshore modules
</li><li>Structural analysis software (e.g. SACS, STAAD, ANSYS, SESAM)
</li><li>Knowledge of offshore installation methods
</li><li>Familiarity with ADNOC standards and offshore HSE practices</li></ul></div>
