As a structural engineer, you will be working for the Global Engineering department of the Boskalis Offshore Energy division. This department is responsible for the strength verification of the vessels in the fleet and designing of various temporary works, structures and providing technical support to various business units/departments within the Offshore Energy division. Your responsibilities as a Structural Engineer:<ul><li>
Prepare reports with design and verification calculations for all structural works within the Scope, Budget, and Schedule.</li><li>
Develop various concepts for design and advise on the most suitable solution for the problem.</li><li>
Verification of drawings to ensure that these match with engineering performed.</li><li>

Your qualities 
You can make your mark as a Structural Engineer if you have:<ul><li>
Recognized MSc or BSc Degree in Marine and Mechanical.</li><li>
5+ years of relevant experience in engineering in the Offshore field, Practical Offshore experience.</li><li>
Proven expertise in FEA tools, with advanced skills in Ansys and scripting/automation via Python (PyAnsys). Skills in FEMAP, RFEM and Mathcad are also appreciated.</li><li>
Strong insight into constructability with practical shipyard and offshore considerations.</li><li>
Extensive knowledge of Class rules for vessels (LR, BV, ABS), offshore structures (DNV, API), and Operational guidelines (DNVGL) used by MWS.</li><li>
Able to write Basis of Design, Design Briefs, and specifications.</li><li>
