Job Duties &amp; Essential Functions:

Patient Intake &amp; Clinical Support

<li>Keep patients informed throughout their visit and accurately document follow-up notes in the electronic health record (EHR).</li>
<li>Perform basic eye tests prior to the physician&rsquo;s examination, clearly explaining each test and its purpose to the patient.</li>
<li>Process prescription refill requests as directed by the physician, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed.</li>
<li>Coordinate and obtain prior authorizations for medications in accordance with insurance requirements to ensure timely patient access to prescribed treatments.</li>
</ul>
Patient Education &amp; Communication
<ul>
<li>Provide patients with clear instructions on medication use and pre-/post-operative care as guided by the physician.</li>
<li>Maintain professional, compassionate communication and ensure a positive patient experience throughout the visit.</li>
<li>Track, document, and communicate laboratory results to physicians and patients promptly, ensuring accuracy and continuity of care.</li>
</ul>
Room &amp; Equipment Maintenance
<ul>
<li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and clinical areas.</li>
<li>Open and close exam rooms daily, including cleaning equipment, charging devices, and securing medical instruments.</li>
<li>Properly shut down and clean diagnostic testing equipment at the end of the day.</li>
<li>Assist with cleaning and preparation of surgical instruments prior to sterilization.</li>
</ul>
Inventory &amp; Compliance
<ul>
<li>Check and log daily medical refrigerator temperatures and monitor expiration dates of clinical supplies.</li>
<li>Maintain appropriate inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.</li>
<li>Follow all clinic safety protocols and infection control procedures.</li>
<li>Assist with opening and closing the clinic, ensuring readiness and security.</li>

Administrative Tasks &amp; Development

<li>Monitor and respond to work-related emails and utilize shared tools (e.g., Google Drive) for communication and updates.</li>

SUMMARY
