We are a growing oral surgery practice in Ukiah, CA with a strong focus on exceeding our patients&rsquo; expectations. Founded on our strong core values of honesty, integrity, and responsibility, we are looking for a Surgical Assistant to join our team! Working hours for this full-time position are Monday &ndash; Friday from 8am &ndash;5pm.Required Skills for this Role: &middot; Must be friendly and be able to maintain a smile and positive attitude in high-pressured environments.&middot; Superior organizational skills and be able to take initiative.&middot; Must be a team player and work well with others.&middot; Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks.&middot; Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office.Experience and Education Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Graduate from a California Board-approved RDA educational program OR, Completion of 15 months of work experience as a dental assistant OR, Complete a combination of a non-approved educational program and work experience.Experience and Education Minimum Requirements:&middot; High school diploma or its equivalent.&middot; Preferred 2+ years of experience in a private practice, surgical facility and/or hospital setting.License and Certification Minimum Requirements <ul><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate holder.</li><li>Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) licensed in the state of California, is preferred.</li><li>Dental radiography certificate in the state of California.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>8 hour shift</li><li>Monday to Friday</li><li>No weekends</li></ul>Work Location: In person

Job Summary:
Performs a variety of duties involving the observation of cardiac monitors, interpretation and documentation of Cardiac Rhythm strips. Provides personal patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
Job Requirements:
<div>Education and Work Experience:
<ul><li>High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
</li><li>Medical secretary/receptionist experience: Preferred
</li></ul></div><div>Licenses/Certifications:
<ul><li>Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) American Heart Association: Required
</li></ul></div><div>Essential Functions:
<ul><li>Assists with patient care activities, as needed, under the guidance of the Charge Nurse or shift leader. Maintains work area(s) and equipment through cleaning, stocking and ordering of supplies.
</li><li>Takes and records vital signs, including pain scale according to established policies and procedures.
</li><li>Performs clerical duties, including chart management and maintaining unit supplies and forms. Manages front desk, assembling and maintaining medical charts.
</li><li>Maintains work area(s) and equipment through cleaning, stocking and ordering of supplies.
</li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
