About the Role:

As an Oral Surgeon at Northern Virginia Oral Surgery Centers, you will be responsible for performing a variety of surgical procedures, including extractions, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, and the treatment of oral pathology. You will work alongside a supportive and friendly team of dental professionals who prioritize patient care and collaboration.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Perform oral and maxillofacial surgeries such as extractions, dental implants, bone grafts, and corrective jaw surgeries.</li>
<li>Diagnose and treat conditions related to the mouth, jaw, and face.</li>
<li>Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and consultations to patients.</li>
<li>Work closely with our team of dental specialists to ensure comprehensive care.</li>
<li>Maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment.</li>
<li>Foster positive patient relationships through clear communication and exceptional care.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD).</li>
<li>Completed an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.</li>
<li>Board-certified or board-eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care.</li>
<li>Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.</li>
<li>Ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment.</li>

Summary: 
Provides outpatient oral surgery services, supports resident education, and assists the Dental Director as needed. 

Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Deliver comprehensive oral surgery care, including consultations, simple and complex extractions, biopsies, and management of disease and trauma.
</li>
<li>Refer patients to appropriate dental or medical specialists when necessary.
</li>
<li>Coordinate with medical and nursing teams to address overall patient needs.
</li>
<li>Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation.
</li>
<li>Provide age-appropriate, patient-centered care with demonstrated clinical competence.
</li>
<li>Precept and mentor dental residents.

</ul>Qualifications

<li>D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited dental school.

<li>NYS dental license.
