 Role Purpose:
 
 
 
 
 To provide support to the Orthobiologics Laboratory in the day to day running and regulatory compliance of the cellular therapies facility and associated clinical activities; to perform technical laboratory functions in specialty areas specific to his/her competency and as determined by the Management of the Laboratory Department.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Accountabilities &amp; Activities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Adherence and compliance with cleanroom regulations that focus on aseptic techniques in cleanroom facilities.
 </li>

 Perform GMP Manipulation in Clean Rooms following accreditation standards and perform aseptic tissue processing and production of cellular therapies for clinical use, ensuring that harvested tissue is safely retrieved, processed, and destroyed according to the documented procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Comply with protocols for the culture and transplantation of different cell sources for use in the orthopaedic setting.
 </li>
 <li>
 Be skilled and certified in cleanroom cell therapy Lab, able to aseptically prepare tissue culture media, supplements, and reagents.
 </li>
 <li>
 Acquiring and analyzing specimen data by flow cytometer.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform quality control procedures, verify, document, and validate the accuracy of the laboratory data to assess the reproducibility and validity of current laboratory methods.

 Monitor Key Performance Indicators for cleanroom facility.
 </li>

 Participate in the routine maintenance of the clean room environment and ancillary facilities, including equipment checks and calibration, environmental monitoring and cleaning as directed in SOPs.

 To have, to acquire and to develop specialist skills to recognize anomalies and ensure these are communicated / documented properly and be able to undertake investigation and remedial action, if directed to do so.

 Maintain strict confidentiality and proper storage and back-up of patient records and test results.

 Assist in the development of research protocols and procedures.
 </li>

 Assists with evaluation and implementation of relevant new laboratory services.

 Participate in quality improvement and quality surveillance activities within Aspetar, including audits and inspections.

 Interact with other staff to solve problems and interpret patients&rsquo; laboratory results within the framework of the Orthobiological Laboratory.

 Review and maintain internal and external laboratory safety programmes, including safe handling and proper disposal of specimens and other laboratory materials, and implementing of corrective actions, when necessary, in compliance with statutory requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in environmental monitoring procedures (measure, monitor and accurately record), using agreed quality control procedures, other duties related to QA.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monthly review of building management system documents for Liquid Nitrogen levels and temperatures in cryogenic tanks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure the health, safety and welfare of fellow employees, visitors and contractors, so far as is reasonably practicable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in Laboratory as well as Hospital Training and Education Programs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide appropriate training to other employees, as required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Process human samples using validated protocols and techniques with a high degree of competency.
 </li>
 <li>
 Record and maintain complete documentation throughout all phases of laboratory testing according to Laboratory and/or Hospital requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Record and maintain effective inventory control to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
 </li>
 <li>
 Record applicable patient data/results in Laboratory Information System.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inform the Laboratory Director in case of any procedural discrepancies for appropriate action.
 </li>

 Participate in preparing the laboratory for accreditation by national and international bodies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Comply with national and international accreditation requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Comply with policies set down by the Qatar Ministry of Public Health and the Aspetar Hospital.

 Ensure compliance with relevant accreditation standards, laboratory safety regulations and quality control / quality assurance programs.

 Must have specialised knowledge and experience related to handling / processing aseptic tissues, i.e. Stem cell culture, sub culturing, cell count, cell viability assay, cell maintenance &amp; cell freezing.

 The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) functions as a member of the orthopaedic care team within the Scott Orthopedic Center, providing comprehensive patient care in both clinic and surgical settings. The APP collaborates with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality care across the continuum, including evaluation and treatment of orthopaedic patients.
 
This position supports a multi-subspecialty orthopaedic practice through a rotational model, offering broad exposure across sports medicine, joint replacement, hand, trauma, and foot and ankle while supporting patient access and operational needs.
 Job Responsibilities

<li>Obtains complete musculoskeletal-focused medical history and performs physical examinations on patients</li>

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 497‑bed, full‑service acute care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission and the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The hospital specializes in Level II trauma services and provides 24/7 emergency care, including a dedicated pediatric emergency department. Its services include maternity care, Level III neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, minimally invasive surgery, and open‑heart surgery. HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital also operates a freestanding ER in Vero Beach and a Breast Center in Tradition.

Description: 
the schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotationINITITAL TRAINING IS FULL TIME/DAY SHIFTPOSITION SUMMARY:
 Delivers direct patient care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse. Performs tasks that do not require nursing judgements or administration of medications.
 Duties include, but not limited to: Bedside patient care, vitals, positioning, feeding, Phlebotomy and EKG.
 Is accountable for the patient care they deliver. Adheres to St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center standards of care and practice.
 
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: 
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
 Medical background, mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity preferred.
 Basic computer skills required
 Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise. Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service.
 
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 
Current BLS/CPR certification and First Aid training provided upon hire
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS: 
Office/Clinical setting. Exposure class I.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
Heavy work: requires standing, lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying.
 
Pay Range: $17.25 - $25.00
 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
