<p>Overview:</p><p>We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our team. The Medical Scribe will work closely with healthcare providers to accurately document patient interactions and medical histories in real-time.</p><p>The Scribe will assists the provider with the completion of his/her dictations to improve the efficiency and quality of each patient visit and the overall clinic flow.</p><p>Job Requirements:</p><ul><li>High School Diploma, general education degree (GED) or certificate from college or technical school.</li><li>3 to 6 month related experience.</li><li>Ability to type 45 WPM, basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/Office.</li><li>Provides excellent customer service to patients by listening and appropriately serving patients.</li><li>Relays relevant information to the appropriate internal staff.</li><li>Assists the provider in navigating Electronic Health Record system.</li><li>Enters information into EHR as directed by the provider.</li><li>Researches information as requested by the provider.</li><li>Responds to various messages as requested by the provider.</li><li>Assists the physicians/physician assistant with documenting patient care in the electronic medical record and insuring that all services ordered are coded in the electronic medical record.</li><li>Participates in office meetings and educational activities.</li><li>Complies with HIPAA procedures.</li><li>Maintains work area in neat and orderly manner.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>- Transcribe medical notes and patient interactions accurately and efficiently.<br/>- Maintain detailed and organized medical documentation for each patient visit.<br/>- Ensure all medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge is applied correctly.<br/>- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care and workflow efficiency.</p><ul><li>Some Travel is expected</li></ul><p>Skills:</p><p>- Proficient in transcribing medical information in a fast-paced environment.<br/>- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.<br/>- Ability to type quickly and accurately.<br/>- Familiarity with medical office procedures and electronic health records systems.<br/>- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.<br/>- Previous experience in a medical scribe role or related field is a plus.</p><p>Methodist Medical Group is the North Texas physician organization affiliated with Methodist Health System. <p>We are an independent orthopedic and sports medicine practice in Fairfax, VA looking for a motivated individual to assist our doctors with capturing medical notes and other information pertinent to patient care - also known as a medical scribe. The scribe will work closely with an orthopedic and sports medicine doctor and will be present in the patient room to document procedural and care notes. Even though the scribe does not perform patient care, they get an up-and-close opportunity and training to work with the doctor and patients, which is critical for individuals seeking to attend medical school, PA school, or expand their careers in the medical field.</p><p>This part-time position is a non-paid position that could be converted to a paid position for the scribe that meets our rigorous criteria. The patient care is fast paced and the scribe must be able to record all aspects of the encounter quickly. For this reason, the scribe must have an overview of anatomy along with medical terminology and be willing to learn.
