Assist physicians and providers in both in-office and off-site Oklahoma Heart Hospital clinic locations while following all OHH policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements</div></li><li><div>
Manage patient flow by rooming patients, obtaining medical histories, and measuring and recording vital signs</div></li><li>
Answer telephones, and direct calls to appropriate staff</li><li><div>
Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing in a cardiovascular-focused outpatient clinic environment</div></li><li><div>
Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain examination and treatment rooms in accordance with infection control and safety standards</div></li><li><div>
Prepare, maintain, and sterilize medical supplies, instruments, and equipment</div></li><li><div>
Administer vaccines, apply dressings, and assist with minor clinical procedures including wound care, suture removal, and staple removal as directed</div></li><li><div>
Triage patient telephone calls and communicate clinical concerns to nursing staff or physicians appropriately</div></li><li><div>
Process prescription refill requests and communicate medication information with pharmacies</div></li><li><div>
Review patient charts and electronic medical records (EMR) for accuracy and completeness prior to scheduled clinic visits</div></li><li><div>
Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals, diagnostic tests, and hospital admissions within the Oklahoma Heart Hospital system</div></li><li><div>
Order, stock, and maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment</div></li><li><div>
Assist patients with mobility or ambulatory needs while maintaining patient safety and dignity</div></li><li><div>
Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, diet, and physician instructions to support continuity of care</div></li><li><div>
Document all patient interactions, treatments, and communications accurately and thoroughly in the medical record</div></li></ul>
Qualifications:

Education</b>: High school diploma or equivalent required.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Licensure/Certification</b>: BLS certification required within sixty (60) months of hire.</div><div><br>
</div><div><b>Experience</b>: Six (6) months to one (1) year of continuous experience in a clinic setting preferred.</div><div></div><div><i><br>

  Responsibilities

   Room p atients and document intake.
  </li>
  <li>
   Obtain and record vital signs.
  </li>
  <li>
   Organize patient flow .
  </li>
  <li>
   Setup p rocedure tray, instruments, and equipment according to i nstructions .

   Assist providers with dermatology procedures.
  </li>
  <li>
   Prepare Path/lab specimens, route to correct lab directed by patient insurance plan .
  </li>
  <li>
   Respond to patient questions in office and on phone as instructed .
  </li>
  <li>
   Review and address clinical task lists and nurse line messages.
  </li>
  <li>
   Calibrate, clean, sterilize and inventory all equipment &amp; instruments according to schedule . Keep appropriate records of maintenance.
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain medication supplies, discard out-of-date supplies, and keep appropriate records .
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain infection control and make sure s upply rooms and cabinets are stocked.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ordering, sorting, restocking and inventory of all supplies.
  </li>
  <li>
   Accurately document patient information and scribe provider notes in the EMR.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist with administration of local anesthetic.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ensure all phone messages, faxes, and interdepartmental mail are addressed in a timely manner .
  </li>

   Must maintain HIPAA compliance
  </li>
  <li>
   Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management .

   Able to triage patient concerns.
  </li>
  <li>
   Be familiar with and compliant OSHA/HIPAA , infection control &amp; Blood Borne Pathogen S tandards .

   Experience measuring vital signs and preparing patients for appointments.
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience administering injections.
  </li>
  <li>
   Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 codes.
  </li>
  <li>
   Knowledge of office financial policies .
  </li>
  <li>
   Basic computer skills and experience in EMR utilization .
  </li>
  <li>
   Able to operate standard office equipment ( i.e. computer, fax, copier, scanner, etc )
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  </li>
  <li>
   Fluent in English
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  </li>

   Ability to work in an effective , cooperativ e, and courteous manner with staff , patients, and visitors.

   Must be able to travel to satellite offices as needed

  </li>
  <li>
   1-2 years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or other clinical patient care experience preferred.

   Previous experience in Dermatology is preferred.
