This role focuses on the design, planning, and implementation of outside plant (OSP) projects involving copper and fiber networks. <li><p>Support service orders, subdivision expansions, road relocations, dark fiber MDUs, and more.</p>

<li><p>Update FROGS (CAD), Varasset, and SiteTracker tools as required.</p>

<li><p>Coordinate with SSP contractors to ensure timely and budget-conscious project completion.</p>

<li><p>Assist with make-ready work and joint-use coordination for Frontier-owned poles.</p>

<li><p>Conduct site surveys, support PUC complaint investigations, and create capital projects (e.g., for cell towers or plant repairs).</p>

<li><p>Address and resolve plant damage requests (DOR/PDR), cable count changes, and other network service needs.</p>

<li><p>Maintain records, update engineering files, and process departmental documentation.</p>

Perform periodic car maintenance and minor special repairs. Update car service records</li><li>
Service the practice facility by driving the picker and mechanically picking up golf balls in the area. Set up the practice facility for play. Continually replenish the supply of practice facility balls. Using a golf cart, patrol the practice tee and pick up trash and practice golf ball bags. Rotate practice facility area in accordance with tee maintenance program. Collect, clean and bag balls at the end of play, ensuring that all range balls are in excellent condition at all times by culling damaged balls
</li><li>Assist members and guests as they depart from the facility, ensuring that all golf clubs are cleaned, and that a staff Member carries and places golf clubs in member's or guest&rsquo;s vehicle</li><li>

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
<br>Operates a 5 or 6 axle, 75,000pound road tractor dump trailer combination while transporting and disposing of wastewater solids from the wastewater plant to the appropriate solid waste management facility;Operates a 3 or 4 axle 55,000pound hooklift/rolloff truck on while transporting and disposing of wastewater solids from the wastewater plant to the appropriate solid waste management facility;Coordinates loads with solid waste management facility staff and WWTP staff to ensure loads reach solid waste management facility at appropriate times;Unloads WWTP solids from vehicle at solid waste management facility site at appropriate location, washes excess material from outside of truck (to prevent spillage on highway) and returns to WWTP;Spots, connects and disconnects trailers at the WWTP in appropriate location;Spots, connects and disconnects roll off canisters at the WWTP in appropriate location;Performs minor PM and maintenance on trucks, canisters and trailers such as light bulbs, lubrication of dogs, rollers etc.;Make necessary VDOT equipment checksKeeps and maintenances records such as manifests, truck inspection DOT log etc. as required for function of job;Operates backhoe or similar equipmentAssists with snow removal at plant siteServices and makes minor repairs and adjustments on equipment;Cleans trucks and other equipmentAssists plant operations staff as requestedCollects and properly handles samples from loads Operates WWTP equipment as required Makes checks of plant equipment as requiredResponds to emergency calls; Operates other equipment, forklift, front end loader, and dump trucks. Makes regular tours of plant and equipment to insure proper operation; Makes minor or emergency repairs;Cleans and maintains plant spaces;Enters data into computer: Operates sludge hauling equipment; Performs related tasks as required.ADDITIONAL DUTIESOther duties to provide direct or indirect service to the citizens may be assigned.When unusual situations occur and/or the City Manager declare a State of Emergency, all City employees may be required to accept special assignments and perform as needed to ensure appropriate service delivery.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
<br>Must have approved access to a telephone.Possession of a valid Virginia Class "A" commercial license. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record based on City criteria.Relevant background checks must be completed and approved including pre-employment drug and alcohol screening required.Must successfully complete IS100 and IS700 National Incident Management (NIMS) training within 90 days of employment. May also be required to complete higher levels of NIMS training as determined appropriate for the position.
