As a <b>Pallet Builder</b>, you&rsquo;ll get to build wooden pallets from recycled materials, deconstructed pallets and/or lumber. You may also repair pallets by taking damaged pallets sent from our customers and return them to service-ready condition, before consolidating and shipping them back to the customer. Requirements:
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li><li><div>
0 to 1 year in carpentry or construction background preferred</div></li><li><div>
Ability to comprehend basic math</div></li><li><div>
Ability to operate power tools in a safe manner</div></li><li><div>
Must be able to follow repair process</div></li><li><div>
Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis</div></li><li><div>
Must be able to use proper techniques to lift a minimum of 75 lbs</div></li><li><div>
Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day)</div></li><li><div>
Able to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements</div></li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>

Responsibilities:
<ul><li><div>
Safely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards</div></li><li><div>
Operate a pry bar to detach damaged boards from the pallets</div></li><li><div>
Operate a hammer, grinder and a saw to remove existing nails and use a 25 lb nail gun to nail together the components</div></li><li><div>
Manually lift 70 lb pallets from a stack to a repair table</div></li><li><div>
Pallet must meet and pass CHEP's quality control audit</div></li><li><div>
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area</div></li><li><div>
Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety</div></li><li><div>
Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards</div></li><li><div>
Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets</div></li><li>
Performs other duties as required</li></ul><div></div><div><i><br>
