JOB SUMMARY:
The primary objective of a Parent Educator in our home-based Parents as Teachers program is to empower parents with knowledge of early childhood development and improve their parenting practices to foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating home environment. The role focuses on building a trusting, strengths-based relationship with parents, using a model that integrates personal visits, group connections, child screenings, and a network of community resources. PAT program serves children and their families from pregnancy through kindergarten entry.
WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS:
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, hyrbird, home-based position.
Due to the nature of the work and level of responsibility, this individual maintains a flexible schedule, which may go beyond a regular workweek.
Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Associates or BA/BSW in Human Services, Child Development, Education or related field.</li><li>
Minimum 2 years working with young children and families</li><li>

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Utilize the evidence-based Parents as Teachers curriculum to empower parents with knowledge, skills, and resources.</li><li>
Parent Educators must attend Parents as Teachers virtual foundational and model implementation trainings.</li><li>
Conduct a minimum of 40 home visits at 60-minutes using the Parents as Teachers curriculum in families&rsquo; homes or in the community per month.</li><li>
Assist in planning and delivery of monthly group connections.</li><li>
Maintain and submit required family and program documentation.</li><li>
Meet with supervisor for reflective supervision sessions and regular staff meetings.</li><li>
Assist in recruiting efforts to enroll families in program.</li><li>
Complete additional training for professional development.</li><li>
Maintain boundaries with families in an ethical and professional manner.</li><li>
Adhere to child abuse and neglect reporting laws.</li><li>
Perform screenings for developmental milestones per recommended intervals.</li><li>
Be a highly organized, accountable, independent, and self-motivated worker.</li></ul>

<div>Kids Above All is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred Parent Educator for our Elgin, IL office. This is a full-time position.
Job Details: Meet with families in their homes to provide educational activities and developmental information that includes the on-going assessment of their child's development. Develop and implement service plans that meet the needs of the children and the family and provide resources and information to assist families in reaching their goals as outlined in the service plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This role is limited term, which is expected to work between 3-12 months.
 Must be fluent in two or more languages, including one that supports the needs of the program and community.
 Provides coordination and leadership to the Positive Opportunities for Parenting Success program(POPS2) with support from the Family and Community Support Services’ Parent Educator/Advocate Coordinator and Department Manager. The Lead Case Manager will oversee coordination of services, which includes but is not limited to working with POPS2 staff and families participating in the program. Will work directly with families to screen for eligibility, develop case plans, and connect families to the resources/services they need. , Supports CAPSLO’s mission by providing direct services to clients and their families to achieve self-sufficiency.
 
What you bring to the table: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Family Studies.</li>
<li>Three years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).</li>
<li>Must be fluent in two or more languages, including one that supports the needs of the program and community.</li>

As a Lead Case Manager you will:

<li>Program Coordination: Oversees all aspects of POPS2 group sessions, including scheduling sites, arranging childcare and meals, and ensuring smooth session logistics. Attends each session to support families and address concerns.</li>
<li>Family Recruitment & Engagement: Collaborates with the Father Engagement Specialist to recruit families, develop outreach materials, and conduct eligibility screenings. Builds strong relationships with participants through regular communication and home visits.</li>
<li>Case Management: Conducts comprehensive family needs assessments, develops individualized case plans, and connects families to appropriate community resources. Provides follow-up to ensure services are received and supports families in building self-sufficiency.</li>
<li>Team Collaboration: Leads regular case review and program update meetings with POPS2 staff to ensure coordinated service delivery and shared understanding of participant progress.</li>
<li>Community Networking: Maintains up-to-date knowledge of local services and builds partnerships with agencies to enhance referral networks and support systems for families.</li>
<li>Data & Reporting: Collects and enters data into the ClientTrack system, compiles reports for program evaluation, and prepares monthly updates for the Board.</li>
