RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>

Maintains a supply inventory of items needed for grounds repair, upkeep and improvements. Places purchase orders for low inventory items.</li><li>

Sweeps curbs and parking lots. Removes snow and ice from walkways, parking lots and building entrances. Spreads salt.</li><li>
Maintains equipment and performs minor repairs. Monitors equipment operation and recommends repairs or replacement. Maintains underground sprinkler system.</li><li>
Assists with plumbing, carpentry, construction/fabrication projects and electrical, light building maintenance.</li><li>
Orders supplies for ground maintenance such as fertilizer, mulch, pesticides and insecticides.</li><li>

REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
General/technical high school diploma or GED equivalent.</li><li>
A valid class A Commercial driver&rsquo;s license with air brake certification, or have the ability to obtain one within six months of employment.</li><li>
Prior responsible work experience, ideally up to 1 year, preferably in grounds maintenance.</li><li>

Essential Functions:
Maintain overall maintenance and cleanliness of Park facilities and grounds to insure a positive guest experience. This individual will be responsible for cutting grass with a zero-turn mower or tractor and mower, trimming hedges, weed eating, picking up limbs from grounds, picking up trash from grounds. This person is also responsible for cleaning park restrooms, emptying garbage cans, and sometimes light maintenance such as painting or digging up a water line with hand tools, and landscaping. Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
EXPERIENCE: You must have at least one-year verifiable work experience, preferably out of doors. Prior experience operating zero turn mowers or tractors is a plus but not required. Must have valid driver license with good record.

Under direct supervision of the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, Crew Leader, or Groundskeeper II, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the care and maintenance of park grounds and related building facilities, as assigned.
