The Parts Counter Specialists will be responsible for aiding both customers and in-house service technicians in fulfilling their parts needs. The Parts Counter Specialist will coordinate the logistics of ordering/tracking parts and manage inventory with the overall goal to minimize equipment downtime needed to complete repairs and preventative maintenance. The Part Counter Specialists will be responsible for providing superior service while working with customers over the phone and on a walk-in basis.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>

Ask questions to accurately identify machine make/model/serial numbers</li><li>
Investigate part needs and determine what additional parts would be needed</li><li>

Position Summary
The Parts/Service Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers by sourcing, quoting, and supplying OEM and aftermarket parts for Bobcat and related construction equipment. This position plays a key role in ensuring technicians, service coordinators, and customers receive the correct parts quickly and accurately to maximize equipment uptime and support dealership profitability.
The Parts/Service Advisor directly impacts technician productivity, customer satisfaction, and the profitability of the dealership's parts and service operations. Their speed, knowledge, and accuracy keep the business running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist walk-in customers, phone callers, and online inquiries with parts lookup, quotes, and orders.</li><li>Identify correct parts using EPC systems, schematics, serial numbers, and equipment history.</li><li>Promote and upsell OEM fluids, filters, ground-engaging tools, accessories, and specials.</li><li>Follow dealership pricing structures and maintain margin integrity.</li><li>Handle returns, exchanges, and warranty parts in accordance with policy.</li><li>Support technicians with prompt availability of shop and field service parts.</li><li>Stage parts for upcoming repairs and communicate backorder/substitute options.</li><li>Coordinate closely with Service Coordinators on scheduled repairs and PMs.</li><li>Receive, bin, and organize incoming shipments.</li><li>Support inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and discrepancy reporting.</li><li>Maintain clean, organized counter, warehouse, and staging areas.</li><li>Generate invoices, quotes, purchase orders, and special orders via ERP.</li><li>Maintain accurate records and customer notes.</li><li>Process core returns, warranty claims, and vendor credits.</li><li>Stay updated on Bobcat parts bulletins, supersessions, and new releases.</li></ul>
