Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Patent Diagram Specialist (Contract) to help us with some patents. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and refining patent drawings and diagrams that accurately depict inventions across various technological fields.Note: The basic flow diagrams are already made and submitted to provisional, we just need to convert it to the USPTO style with formatting, style, brand guidelines etc. for filing the non-provisional next year.We are seeking a contractor who specializes in creating patent-ready technical diagrams.Scope:- Convert technical descriptions into USPTO-style patent figures- System architecture diagrams- Flowcharts, block diagrams, and process flows- Revisions based on attorney / inventor feedbackRequirements:- Prior experience with patent or IP illustrations- Familiarity with USPTO drawing standards- Tools: Illustrator, Visio, Figma, or equivalent- Ability to work from written specs and rough sketchesNice to have:- Experience with software, AI, or system architecture patentsThis is contract-based work. Candidates can be based out of our New York, Houston, Philadelphia or Washington, D.C. offices. The Patent Agent or Attorney candidate will leverage their technical expertise, with a Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineer, Civil Engineering, or the like, to assist the Firm's clients in protecting their medical device and mechanical technology. The Patent Agent or Attorney will draft and prosecute applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as well as support due diligence. The target annual pay range for this role in New York City and Washington, D.C. is $150,000 - $200,000 plus bonuses based on performance. Positions outside of New York City and Washington, D.C. will be subject to annual pay ranges specific to the market for that particular geographic location. Actual pay will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience and skillset. The compensation range listed is just one component of Blank Rome&rsquo;s total compensation package for employees.
