About the role</b></p><p>
In this role, you will help drive the Company&rsquo;s Intellectual Property (IP) initiatives by collaborating with engineers and scientists to develop and draft patent disclosures. You will support the growth and management of the Company&rsquo;s patent portfolio, including docketing and tracking key deadlines, and assist in the prosecution of patent applications as well as the management of trade secrets. This position reports to the Head of IP.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
What you'll do</b></p><ul><li>
Lead IP generation sessions with Engineers and Scientists of the Company to draft patent applications and other IP documents and IP processing.</li><li>
Conduct prior art, patentability and freedom to operate searches to counsel R&amp;D and business colleagues.</li><li>
Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications across various jurisdictions in collaboration with external law firms.</li><li>
Maintain patent dockets and handle internal reporting.</li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
A degree in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering or related field</li><li>
4+ years of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications with success at the USPTO. Must have detailed knowledge of USPTO procedures.</li><li>
Communication skills to act as a facilitator in IP brainstorming session and patent application drafting</li><li>
Technical writing skills &ndash; ability to draft clear, concise technical documents including invention summaries</li><li>
