Essential Functions<ul><li>
Assist manager and in creating staff schedules and ensures adequate coverage</li><li>
Model AIDET guidelines in all interactions with the patient and ensure staff are adhering to the patient experience expectations</li><li>
Promotes and demonstrates excellent customer service</li><li>
Maintain QA statistics (Including patient wait times, etc.) and report results to manager</li><li>
Oversees the daily activities of the scheduling, pre-registration and registration areas to insure department standards are met</li><li>
Assists manager in educating registration staff of any changes pertinent to their roles 
Required Skills 
Demonstrates ability to organize, perform and track multiple tasks accurately in short timeframes, have ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment while managing multiple demands ability to work both independently and collaborate as a team player, adaptability, analytical and problem solving ability and attention to detail and able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately.</li></ul>

Minimum Education<ul><li>

Patient Access Representatives deliver what matters most to our patients and their families, ensure exceptional experiences and thrive on making positive impacts in the community. As a Patient Access Representative, you will pre-register and greet patients as well as verify information and collect copays. You are the first person the patient will interact with once they are through security, and you will set the tone for how the visit goes. 
A caregiver in this role works evenings from 3:00 p.m. &ndash; 11:30 p.m. with weekend and holiday requirements. 
A caregiver who excels in this role will:<ul><li>
Perform registration and obtain information about demographics, insurance, medical and financial.
</li><li>Crosstrain to staff all areas of patient access, such as front desk, admitting office, ED and cash register.
</li><li>Function as a Super User and act as a resource for training of new caregivers.
</li><li>Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic.</li></ul> 
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:<ul><li>
High School Diploma OR GED and two years of experience in a customer-facing role with in person or phone contact</li><li>
OR an Associate&rsquo;s Degree and one year of experience</li><li>
OR a Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree</li><li>
Knowledge of medical terminology OR completion of course within year of hire</li><li>
Basic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems</li></ul>
Physical Requirements:
<ul><li>Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.</li><li>
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
</li><li>Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
</li><li>In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
</li><li>In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.</li></ul>

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $15.75
Maximum hourly: $21.65
