Position Summary
The Patient Access Technician (PAT) is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for ensuring accurate patient admission and registration. Responsibilities<ul><li>
You will assure complete and accurate patient admissions/registrations according to organization policy and procedures and regulatory requirements</li><li>
You will obtain inpatient bed assignments and processes inpatient admission, including arm banding, addressograph plate, and completion of necessary forms</li><li>
You will pre-admit all scheduled inpatient, outpatients and ambulatory patients to facilitate a smooth and speedy admission/registration process</li><li>
You will obtain direct admit information and enter a reservation in the computer system in order to notify other areas</li><li>
You will complete comprehensive bedside or telephone interviews with the patient, relative, or their representative to obtain pertinent demographic insurance and/or third-party liability information</li><li>

Duties: Medication Access Coordinator<div>
Determine, support, and assist patients, provider teams, and the pharmacy department to overcome barriers to medication access, with focused expertise in third party prior authorization and billing processes for pharmacy benefits. Assist patients within enrollment into grants, assistance programs, and communicate any financial responsibilities. Provide a Face-to Face/virtual beside oriented service that delivers comprehensive fiscal options to patients.
