</div><p>The Patient Care Associate, under the direction of a licensed nurse or other medical staff, in the health care setting assists the professional staff by performing, venipuncture, finger-sticks, HIV Pre and Post Test Counseling, Rapid HIV Testing, responding and assisting with emergencies, facilitating telehealth encounters, various clerical and health-related duties associated with patient care (ADLs as indicated) and contributing to the safety, care and comfort of patients. The duties are assigned by and are performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Patient Care Associate may be required to perform the duties listed below and other duties involving same type, area of responsibility. <h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Position Overview</b></h3>
<p>
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate <b>Patient Care Associate (PCA)</b> to support nursing staff in delivering quality patient care in a hospital setting. The PCA will assist with daily patient activities, monitor patient conditions, and help maintain a safe and comfortable care environment. The ideal candidate will have prior hospital experience and the ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.</p>

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h3>
<p><b>
Patient Care Support</b></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as feeding, bathing, toileting, and mobility.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Document patient intake and output and report changes in condition to nursing staff.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Assess and record patient pain levels using standard pain scales.</p>
</li>
</ul><p><b>Clinical Assistance</b></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Perform basic clinical procedures including specimen collection, venipuncture, and EKGs.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Assist with the application of compression devices and monitor skin integrity.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Provide post-mortem care when required.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Support nurses during patient procedures and treatments.</p>
</li>
</ul><p><b>Patient Safety</b></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Conduct routine patient rounding to ensure comfort and safety.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Assist patients with ambulation and mobility support.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Follow isolation precautions as directed by nursing staff.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Provide close observation for patients at risk of falls or self-harm.</p>
</li>
</ul><p><b>Unit &amp; Environment Support</b></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Assist with room preparation, equipment cleaning, and bed setup.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Support specimen transport and equipment preparation.</p>
</li>
</ul><p><b>Communication &amp; Coordination</b></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Respond to patient call systems and communicate patient needs to clinical staff.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.</p>
</li>
<li><p>Collaborate with nurses and healthcare teams to support effective patient care.</p>
</li>
</ul><p></p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Required Qualifications</b></h3>
<ul>
<li><p>High School Diploma or equivalent</p>
</li>
<li><p>Prior hospital experience</p>
</li>
<li><p><b>BLS or Heartsaver Certification</b> from the American Heart Association</p>
</li>
<li><p>Ability to complete required orientation and training program</p>
</li>
</ul><p></p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></h3>

<li><p>3&ndash;9 months of patient care or healthcare experience</p>
</li>
<li><p>Experience working in Medical-Surgical units</p>
</li>
<li><p>Familiarity with electronic clinical documentation systems</p>
