Responsibilities:

PRIMARY:</b></div><ul><li>
Demonstrates a high level of Customer Service to greet, register, and discharge all patients</li><li>
Ability to cross train and assist with back-office duties as needed within scope of practice.</li><li>
Accurately collect and input patient demographics and financial information at the time of registration for all patients.</li><li>
Verifies and updates all patient insurance information at the time of registration.</li><li>
Maintains strong knowledge of Medical Insurance Plans including but not limited to co-pays, deductibles, and coverage limits.</li><li>
Stays up to date with all changes to Government and Commercial Insurance Plans.</li><li>
Maintains a high-level understanding and knowledge of the Fast Pace Self-Pay program</li><li>
Collects all insurance, co-pays or deductibles, or Self-Pay amounts at the time of registration of each patient.</li><li>
Answers the phone with a polite, patient-centered manner demonstrating a commitment to positive patient experiences though outstanding Customer Service.</li><li>
Maintains Fast Pace Customer Service levels and facilitating patient flow by notifying the provider of patient&rsquo;s arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff appropriately.</li><li>

Purpose:</b><br>
The Patient Care Technician Specialist plays a vital role in delivering high quality patient care by assisting nurses and healthcare providers in daily clinical and personal care tasks. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), collecting specimens, and ensuring a clean and safe patient environment. The Patient Care Technician - Senior may also work collaboratively with nurses to perform EKGs and phlebotomy procedures.
