We are looking for a supervisor to support our growing services and infrastructure in our Surgery Center. The position is posted for <b>St. Louis Park </b>with requirement to travel to the other Same Day Surgery Centers as needed.</p>

We have a fast-paced multi-specialty Surgical Center, servicing 6 different Surgical Specialties.<br>
</p><p><b>Position Summary:</b></p>

Under the direction of the Clinical Nursing Director and/or Nurse Manager, the Patient Care Supervisor has direct authority for daily operations of the unit/department. Responsibilities of this position include activities such as hiring, staff development, performance management and evaluation, disciplinary actions, and scheduling. The Patient Care Supervisor manages and evaluates aspects of patient care delivery, including staff resources, productivity, patient safety, and care quality. Will work variable shifts, as needed to complete responsibilities and meet the needs of the patient care unit. This position will assist in identification of goals and has shared responsibility with the Manager and Director for process improvements on the unit/department. Responsible for coordinating daily operations, staffing, and preparations for surgical needs.</p><br>

<ul><li>Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or AD in Nursing and Baccalaureate degree in related field required.</li>
<li>Pre/Post/PACU experience required. ER/ICU or other Procedural department experience considered.</li>

<ul><li>Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.</li>

Essential Functions<br>
Supervise patient care through verification of the use of the nursing process according to established nursing practices and patient care standards and provide direction and guidance to facilitate the nursing process.

<ul><li>Ensure appropriate intervention is demonstrated in all situations, e.g., deterioration of patient condition, disruptive behavior, equipment malfunctions, etc.
</li><li>Serve as off-shift patient care representative, listen to patient or patient family members' issues, documents, and complaints, and investigate if required.
</li><li>Conduct rounds of all patient care areas and define expectations for accurate reporting with emphasis on high-acuity patients.
</li><li>Collaborate throughout off-shift with support services, emergency, admitting, and clinical services to coordinate clinical patient care or environmental needs.
</li><li>Follow through to ensure patient's needs, as well as environmental and safety-related issues, are resolved.</li></ul><p></p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><b><br>
