The Patient Coordinator team provides front-line support to deliver exceptional service and create resolutions along with high level communication to patients. The goal is to ensure excellent patient service standards are met and high patient satisfaction is maintained.
In addition to front-line support, the team manages all aspects of scheduling our patient appointments, including communication regarding patient's insurance eligibility, frequency of procedures, and overdue account balances. All team members are responsible for knowing our policies and procedures for each clinic, communicating in positive manor to all staff and patients and their parent(s)/guardian(s.)
Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>Enter all patient information correctly into a patient&rsquo;s account and schedule new patient consultations and reoccurring appointments in appropriate time slots.</li><li>Appropriately handle reason for each phone call or forward to necessary staff member while keeping accurate and consistent documentation.</li><li>Handle emergency phone calls to decipher what is a true emergency and schedule the appointment appropriately.</li><li>Collect patient insurance information over the phone.</li><li>Communicate with other dental offices and specialists regarding referrals, existing radiographs, claim history and any conditions of mutual patients.</li></ul>
