<div><p>The <b>Patient Services Associate I</b> answers incoming calls to schedule Radiology appointments and makes outgoing calls to patients and physicians. The majority of time will be spent handling scheduling and pre-registration calls based on business needs. Follows standardized process to get and give information during scheduling/pre-registration calls according to documented work processes. Enters all information into the applicable computer programs and systems. Determines the needs of other callers with a focus on one call resolution and ensures every customer receives the highest quality of customer service.</p><p></p><p><b>
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:</b></p><ul><li><p>
Takes incoming calls to schedule Radiology appointments and contacts patients and referring physician offices to schedule appointments.</p></li><li><p>
Follows prescribed list of questions/scripts and provides standardized responses to get and give information during scheduling/pre-registration.</p></li><li><p>
Ensures the gathering of accurate and complete patient data required to complete the scheduling process and any specific information required by customer facility.</p></li><li><p>

The Clinical Support Associate is responsible for the smooth and effective operations of the clerical, billing, admission/registration and patient scheduling aspects of the office. Also responsible for financial tracking of revenues. Collaborates with the Department RNs, Supervisor, Physician and Director.</p><p><b>
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><p><b>
Duty 1: </b>Enters all patient demographics, charges and insurance information with complete accuracy as well as hospital postings of all adjustments and dates of service. Inputs all facility charges. Ensures timely completion of chart per hospital policy.</p><p><b>
Duty 2:</b> Schedules all patient appointments in an efficient manner to accommodate patients, physicians and staffing schedules. Makes appointment confirmation calls to patients one day prior to their scheduled appointment. Establish a system to track cancelled appointments and reschedule those patients. Collaborates with the Physician and/or Clinical Supervisor in scheduling emergency patient visits. Helps schedule follow-up test/procedures that are required before the patient leaves the office.</p><p><b>

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><ul>

High school graduate or GED equivalent</li>
<li>Computer literacy required (Word, Excel)</li>
<li>Positive service-oriented interpersonal communication and organization skills</li>

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><ul>
<li>
Associate Degree in Business Administration/Systems.</li>
<li>Medical Office Assistant training.</li>
<li>Previous office/unit administration experience.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Medical billing and ICD-10 codes.</li>
<li>Medicare experience.</li>
<li>Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.</li>
</ul><p><b>
PHYSICAL DEMANDS</b></p><p>
This position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent walking, lifting, bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, twisting, sitting and standing. The associate will be required to walk up to two hours a day, sit for four hours a day, and stand for two hours a day. The individual must be able to lift 50 pounds and reach work above the shoulders. The associate must have good eye/hand coordination and fine finger dexterity. The individual must have excellent verbal communication skills to perform daily tasks. The associate must have corrected vision and hearing in the normal range.</p></div>
