 This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week are guaranteed. This job requires working Monday - Friday (no weekends); work hours may vary, but will begin no earlier than 7:00 a.m. and end no later than 6:20 p.m. 
Summary of Duties:
Process all activity related to OSS&rsquo;s patient services. Patient service functions include patient phone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, follow-up, maintaining charts, filing, and communication with referral sources. Additionally, PSR will perform other daily operational functions associated with the front desk position. 
Manage all Aspects of High-Volume Patient Scheduling:<ul><li>
Receive incoming patient phone calls.</li><li>
Collect necessary information from patients for treatment and billing purposes.</li><li>
Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations if required.</li><li>
Fax appropriate paperwork to referral sources.</li><li>
Scan documents into the patient's account.</li><li>
Build and maintain all patient charts.</li><li>
Collect any money owed from patients, balance all money nightly, and print reports.</li><li>
Pull charts for the next day's appointments and make reminder calls</li><li>
Communicate with OSS staff through Outlook email.</li><li>
Communicate closely with billing and treating staff to resolve any patient issues.</li><li>
Open and sort mail daily.</li><li>
Perform related duties as required.</li><li>
Participate in educational activities and attend monthly staff meetings.</li></ul>

Summary :
The Patient Service Representative III is a supporting position and is responsible for a variety of activities related to patient in-take and care. The Patient Service Representative III will also support the Patient Service Representatives I and II as required and may be the first point of contact for patients entering the practice. It involves all of the responsibilities of the PSR II but with a higher level of competency and experience. Activities may include but are not limited to greeting and checking in patients, verifying and updating insurance information and confirming other patient information, scheduling patient appointments, answering phones, updating demographic information, processing referrals, payment collection and posting, charge entry, chart preparation, processing of payroll, tracking of time and attendance, tracking of quality metrics, daily charges, schedule management, patient panels, taking meeting notes, assist with patient complaints ordering office supplies, assisting with practice orientation and training of new staff and other duties as assigned with a minimum of support. The PSR III will also be able to coordinate all components of patient appointments to include tests, surgeries and procedures and may work closely with Central Scheduling. The PSR III will be expected to work with a fair amount of independence applying logic and judgement towards the resolution of practice challenges. Job Description</h1>
Status: Full Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm with rotating Saturday shifts, 7am - 1pm
Essential Job functions:<ul><li>
Greets visitors, patients, and families in a friendly professional manner and directs them appropriately.</li><li>
Maintains an efficient patient flow through the registration process and provides excellent customer service to patients/families.</li><li>
Promptly answers the telephone, directs all calls appropriately, takes an accurate message and delivers to the appropriate individual/demonstrates appropriate etiquette.</li><li>
Informs patients of delay in physician schedules, assists with patient comfort while delayed.</li><li>
Posts all self pay charges, collects payments, and provides patient with receipt. Accurately reconciles daily payments. Reconciles billing slips to daily schedule.</li><li>
Opens and closes batches properly, accurately reconciles collections, prepares deposits and documents corrections.</li><li>
Scans the insurance card, processes insurance verifications utilizing the on-line system, and updates the patient account. Updates patient information including demographics, insurance, HIPAA forms and financial waivers.</li><li>
Schedules appointments accurately according to department guidelines; using waitlist when applicable. Confirms future appointments as needed. Review Eligibility and Phone report.</li><li>
Schedules and enters orders for diagnostic tests, and procedures, following all appropriate workflows.</li><li>
Works cooperatively with Patient Care Resources and clinical staff to ensure timely pre-authorizations.</li><li>
Completes referrals according to departmental guidelines and properly enters into the appropriate system.</li><li>
Effectively communicates problems, concerns, or issues to the Office Supervisor / Manager appropriately and promptly.</li></ul>

Performs various clerical duties such as faxing, photocopying, scanning, filing and mailings.</li><li>
Demonstrates flexibility with various work schedules, covers for other staff when asked including other office locations.</li><li>
