 The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, calm under pressure, and comfortable working independently during evening and overnight hours. The candidate right for this role needs to be capable of handling confrontation and police liaison work. The role involves identifying and mitigating threats, such as break-ins or intruders, with a "safety first" mindset, being able to deescalate tense situations. VareCo views this role as a bridge between the property and the Des Moines Police Department.

This person will report to the Quality Supervisor.</p><p><b>Job Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><p>&middot; Perform operations necessary to visually inspect and sort powdered metal parts for defects.</p><p>&middot; Accurately visually inspect and sort powdered metal parts for defects using necessary tools.</p><p>&middot; Accurately observe, measure, record, and move parts to ensure product quality.</p><p>&middot; Provide accurate documentation of operation.</p><p>&middot; Provide active input to continuous process improvement.</p><p>&middot; Within a team environment, effectively and safely perform all functions to maximize inspection operations and team harmony</p><p>&middot; Effectively communicate job-related information.</p><p>&middot; Maintain a clean, organized work area</p><p>&middot; Work with and assist other areas.</p><p>&middot; Actively participate in the training of others and aid in the evaluation.</p><p>&middot; Perform other duties as required.</p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p>&middot; Ability to read and write.
