 Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibility Highlights include:

   Assists in care planning for residents with need for advanced preparation of resident care.
  </li>
  <li>
   Timely completion of all paperwork requested by the Nursing Office (monitors, pharmacy reviews, etc.).
  </li>
  <li>
   Interacts with various disciplines in the facility to ensure maintenance of proper resident care and to exchange information regarding resident therapy and progress.
  </li>
  <li>
   Communicates changes in condition to MDS Coordinator, supervisor, restorative coordinator, and other necessary parties.
  </li>
  <li>
   Writes summaries of reasons why residents are being attended to, notes problems, and progress to assist physician in obtaining the proper care for the resident from consulting outside physicians.
  </li>
  <li>
   Performs initial assessment of new admissions and returnees from hospital, prepares documents for doctors&rsquo; orders, and orders medications as necessary.
  </li>
  <li>
   Make rounds to observe first-hand the conditions of the residents.

About the Staff Nurse Role and Gynecology Clinic<br>

<ul><li>Two Years of RN Experience Strongly Preferred</li><li>Experience in GYN Preferred</li></ul><br>
The Gynecology Clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital has over 25 providers and see approximately 2000 patients per month. We are mainly a consultative practice that see patients with gynecology complications. Our specialty clinics include Vulvar Clinic, Colposcopy Clinic, Resident Clinic, Family Planning, Minimally Invasive Gynecological surgery and Urogynecology. Our RNs work closely with MDs and APPs (NP).<br>

The staff nurse ensures proficient, conscientious nursing care. As a primary nurse is responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of patients. The RN collaborates with the primary physician, members of the patient care team, support staff and nurse manager to achieve efficient patient outcomes.<br>
<ul><li>Identifies, facilitates, and evaluates outcomes of nursing care for an individual patient or group of patients.</li><li>Communicates the plan of care and other pertinent information to and from other health team members.</li><li>Participates in and contributes to performance improvement activities for the unit.</li><li>Participates in teaching, education and directs all nursing personnel for whom she/he is responsible if applicable.</li><li>Participates in orientation of new permanent and temporary staff members.</li></ul>

Skills and Experience for a Staff Nurse<br>
<ul><li>2 years of relevant nursing experience (med-surg, ambulatory, inpatient) required.</li><li>Experience in OB/GYN and/or ambulatory experience preferred.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
