Job Summary and Qualifications:</b></p><p>
Performs consistently accurate and high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in specialty clinics. The specific area of expertise is OB/GYN, specifically. Maintains a high standard of patient care. Participates in providing patient-specific care as directed and follows service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.</p><p></p><p><b>
What you will do in this role:</b></p><p>
Applies fetal ultrasound principles in the evaluation of fetal anomalies. Applies gynological ultrasound principles in the evaluation of patient. Adapts to various ultrasound machines while maintaining high standards of sonography.
</p><p>Identifies fetal anomalies, such as CNS, maxillofacial, cardiothoracic, abdomen, abdomen wall, genitourinary, extremity placental, umbilical cord growth disturbance. Performs ultrasounds on maternal uterus, cervix and ovaries. Performs complicated twin and triplet scans in conjunction with in-office multiple gestation service. Identifies gynological anomalies such as fibroids, thickened endometrium and polyps.
</p><p>Makes preliminary, equivocal diagnosis of gynological and fetal disorders in the organ systems mentioned in above.
</p><p>Operates General Electric, Accuson, Medison, and ATL ultrasound machines with proficiency. Continues to expand knowledge of latest technology.
</p><p>Maintains ultrasound logging records including past medical history, past surgical history, past obstetric history, and past genetic history.
</p><p>Prepares patients for procedures including and not limited to Level I &amp;II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, lung maturity amniocentesis, PUBS, anmio reduction, external cephalic version, and GYN ultrasound.
</p><p>Maintains professional relationship with other staff members, other obstetric offices and hospital personnel.
</p><p>Exercises independent judgement when interpreting Biophysical Profiles designed to assess fetal well-being. Alerts physicians of potentially dangerous conditions. Diagnoses fetal weight disturbances based on fetal biometry. Diagnoses multiple fetal anomalies and reports and demonstrates them to physician.

<p><b>Waypoint Counseling &amp; Maternal Wellness</b> is a behavioral health practice serving clients across North Carolina from our Durham and Raleigh offices, with both in-person and telehealth options. Our team of over 35 providers delivers counseling, psychiatric, and integrated wellness services with a focus on women&rsquo;s health from prenatal through perimenopause and menopause.</p><p><b>The Role</b></p><p>This is a full-time, production-based provider position. You will carry your own caseload of clients, billing insurance directly for medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and related services. Waypoint will credential you with our contracted payers and provide the infrastructure (EHR, scheduling, billing support, referral pipeline) so you can focus on clinical work.</p><p>Your clinical focus will center on women&rsquo;s health nutrition across the reproductive and hormonal lifespan:</p><ul><li>Prenatal and postpartum nutrition</li><li>Gestational diabetes and hypertensive disorder management</li><li>Perimenopause and menopause-related nutritional needs (integrated with our PMC program)</li><li>Hormonal health, metabolic health, and weight management in the context of life stage transitions</li><li>Lactation nutrition support</li><li>General wellness nutrition for women across the age spectrum</li></ul><p>This is not an eating disorder treatment role.
