Job Details
Pharmacy Technicians in our Patient Care Center of Excellence may hold multiple duties to ensure ExactCare&rsquo;s patients receive quality care out of their pharmacy services. They will work in a call center environment, spending their time speaking with patients, doctors and facilities on the phone.
Job duties and responsibilities will vary from fielding inbound phone calls, outbound phone work and navigating multiple pharmacy software systems to supporting the various stages of patient care/contact. These areas of responsibility will fluctuate based on organizational needs, allowing the Pharmacy Technician to develop multiple skillsets.
This is an office (or remote) based, cubicle environment, allowing the Pharmacy Technician to provide an exceptional over the phone patient experience. ExactCare provides a fast-paced, high energy environment, allowing Pharmacy Technicians to excel in many areas with a focus on phone based pharmacy work.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Providing an exceptional customer service experience each day in a phone based environment.</li><li>
Answering a high volume of inbound calls from current patients and serve as an ExactCare expert to resolve their questions.</li><li>
Placing outbound calls to patients to create, maintain or update their medication profiles.</li><li>
Effectively assist with patient questions over the phone.</li><li>
Working through current case queues to problem solve for patient care issues.</li><li>
Serving as a liaison between the clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals on patient&rsquo;s behalf.</li><li>
Perform claim adjudication and auditing duties such as prior authorizations, billing and eligibility checks. Requiring outbound calls to patients</li><li>
Collect on patient balances when patient has an amount due</li><li>
Maintaining patient records with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.</li><li>
Utilizing sound drug knowledge to effectively receive prescription authorizations, clarifications or transfers.</li><li>
Accurate retrieval of all prescription information and verifying through doctor calls.</li><li>
Enter a high volume of data; processing prescription information with speed and accuracy.</li><li>
Placing welcome calls to newly on-boarded patients and establish a trusted point of contact.</li><li>
Partner with technicians and pharmacists to ensure that new patients are successfully on-boarded to ExactCare.</li><li>
Performing in a high volume, fast paced environment to support ExactCare&rsquo;s nationwide patient base.</li><li>

Requirements<ul><li>
Must be 18+ years of age</li><li>
High school diploma /GED</li><li>
Prior experience in a pharmacy setting</li><li>
Certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA) and maintain a current certificate</li><li>
Must maintain a pharmacy technician registration with State Board of Pharmacy</li><li>
Ability to perform in an office based (or remote) setting that requires sitting at a desk 90% of the time</li><li>
Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm</li></ul>

As a Clinical Services Pharmacy Technician, you will intake for all calls from patients, pharmacies and providers. You will perform basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically work on routine and patterned assignments.
You will address questions related to specific assigned area and assist with medication research. You will evaluate calls that require consultation with a pharmacist. You will make outbound calls to patients to offer medication therapy management programs and schedules medication review sessions with consultative pharmacists. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">

</h1>Required Qualifications
You MUST reside in one of the following states: Ohio, Arizona, Texas, or Florida.<ul><li>
Must have an active Pharmacy Technician or Tech in Training license in the state you reside</li><li>
Technical Mail Order Pharmacy or Manufacturing experience</li><li>
Experience as a Pharmacy Technician OR call center experience in a pharmacy or related call center setting</li><li>
Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously and strong data entry skills</li></ul> 
Schedule Expectations:
We will hold training Monday&ndash;Friday from 8:00 AM &ndash; 4:30 PM EST.
After training, we ask that you have the flexibility to work any shift within the hours of 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM EST, based on our needs. We will advise the schedule at the time of offer.<ul><li>
You must also be available to work every 3rd Saturday 10:00am - 6:30pm EST with a day off during the week when it is your Saturday rotation.</li></ul>

Additional Information

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
