Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, this position fills orders for parenteral and enteral medications, monitors patient drug therapies and provides drug information. Supervises and directs support personnel. <p></p>What you will be doing
<p>The Pharmacist at the Central Fulfillment (CF) site is responsible for conducting pharmacist verification in a closed- door pharmacy environment. The primary role is to ensure the accuracy and completeness of prescriptions in the Central Fill prescription filling system. The Pharmacist will serve as a leader to the shift team and partner with the site PIC/General Manager to provide direction for the teams. They will work in accordance with the Board of Pharmacy guidelines. The Pharmacist will assist the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with all quality assurance activities related to keeping patients safe and complying with all state and local regulations along with policies and procedures of the company.</p><br>
<p></p><p>The position will be based in Phoenix, AZ. The shift arrangement is aligned to either a 1st shift or 2nd shift schedule. Looking for a pharmacist with the ability to work one to two Saturdays and Sundays per month, along with occasional weekday shifts.</p><br>
<p></p>Main responsibilities
<ul><li>Pharmacist verification of prescriptions.</li>
<li>Supervision of pharmacy technicians work as regulated by the Board of Pharmacy</li>
<li>Responsible for supporting the store pharmacy operations to achieve their planned business objectives.</li>
<li>All activities related to the preparation, dispensing and sale of prescription and pharmacy related products.</li>
<li>Assist in developing and implementing CF programs to help meet sales objectives and increase prescription volume.</li>
<li>Provide the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) updates on Pharmacy operations.</li>
<li>Understands and complies with Best Practice Standards and execution by pharmacy staff when the Pharmacist in Charge is absent.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and company policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Assist in the training and development of pharmacy staff.</li>
<li>Hold and maintain a clean pharmacist licensure in the home state.</li>
<li>Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs (i.e. HIPAA, CDR, I-pledge, etc.)</li>
<li>Confront complex pharmacy operational issues with situation specific business solutions.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned concurrent with all applicable laws and regulations.</li><br>

<li>A minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience or equivalent in a similar setting.</li>

<ul><li>Prior pharmacist experience within a retail OR closed-door fulfillment setting.</li>
<li>Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to visit remote operations, business partners, and the General Office as needed.</li>
</ul></li><li>Technical Experience:
<ul><li>Process systems experience (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen) preferred.</li>
<li>Mail order and central fill pharmacy experience preferred.</li>
<li>Knowledge of pharmacy systems and systems integration</li>
<li>Experience in handling software and hardware in a warehouse environment preferred.</li><br>
