Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Delivering of medications to bedside at the time of discharge.</li><li>
Assisting the out-window in the Allen Clinic Pharmacy.</li><li>
Coordinating patient requests for medication services with other health care providers, both face to face and through the hospital computer system. Customer Service</li><li>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Minimum Requirements 2 years of prior cash handling and customer service experience in retail environment.
</li><li>Register with the Board of Pharmacy as pharmacy support staff within 30 days of hire or registration as a tech in training or certified pharmacy technician at the time of hire.
</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

Job purpose 
 
The role of Pharmacy Clerk is vital toward fulfilling the mission of the Fair Haven Community Health Center (FHCHC). The responsibilities for serving in this capacity include supporting a entity owned Retail Pharmacy located in New Haven or Branford. As a Federal Qualified Health Care facility, our pharmacy team plays an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to an underserved community. This includes immunizations, patient consultation, medication therapy management, and management of high-risk patients. 
 
Duties and responsibilities 
 
Reporting to the Pharmacist in Charge, the Pharmacy Clerk is an integral member of the FHCHC team, working collaboratively to assist and support FHCHC providers and patients. Typical duties include but are not limited to:<ul><li>
Assist with operational activities of the pharmacy.</li><li>
Maintain professional working relationships at all times, with the pharmacy staff, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
</li><li>Deliver high quality customer service and be available to customers at all times.
</li><li>Demonstrate a friendly and helpful attitude to best address customer needs.</li><li>
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
</li><li>Assist in organize medications for pharmacist pursuant to wholesaler deliveries,
</li><li>Reconcile invoices and match items received to the items billed.
</li><li>Schedule deliveries, call patients and reconcile delivery records</li><li>
Assess inventory and ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.</li><li>

</li><li>Contribute to the pharmacy team by supporting compliance efforts, security protocols and overall pharmacy operations.</li><li>
Any additional tasks assigned by the Pharmacist In Charge or the Chief of Pharmacy Services.
</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>
High School diploma or equivalent is required, Two years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.</li><li>
Two years related Pharmacy Clerk experience, customer service experience in a pharmacy environment is preferred.
</li><li>Pharmacy Clerk registration in the State of Connecticut is required or the ability to register within 90 days of hire.
</li><li>The successful applicant must demonstrate high quality interpersonal relations and customer service skills.
</li><li>Bilingual required (English and Spanish)</li><li>
BLS Certification required (this may be obtained after hire).</li></ul>
