Work Hours: Full Time 40hours/week, rotating weekend &amp; holidays, Typical hours of coverage 6:00AM-10:00pm.

Basic Function: 
As part of the patient care team, the pharmacy technician provides assistance to the pharmacist. This position requires a commitment to continually support pharmacy services in order to provide quality care and efficient operations while considering fiscal responsibility.

Qualifications: 
Required: 
High School graduate or equivalent. 
Registration as Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Technician Trainee, or Pharmacy Intern, through the PA State Board of Pharmacy. 
Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred: 
Graduate of a certified Pharmacy Technician&rsquo;s training program. One year experience in either a Retail or Hospital Pharmacy Setting as a Pharmacy Technician.

Summary 
Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information to process prescriptions. Assists the pharmacists in performing technical duties related to the distribution of drugs to patients. Monitors medication inventory levels and places orders to restock. Develops strong relationships with colleagues and customers. Supports pharmacological services by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, placing and expediting orders, reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, compounding sterile and non-sterile products, and other pharmaceutical therapies.

Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
1 year pharmacy technician experience
</li><li>Knowledge of inventory control.
</li><li>Knowledge of brand name/generic medications.
</li><li>Knowledge and ability to use pharmacy automation.
</li><li>CPhT - Certified Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.

We&rsquo;re looking for an experienced, motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team and support our in-house dispensing operations.Position Summary: The In-House Pharmacy Technician will work directly within our dermatology practice to prepare, label, and manage medications prescribed by our providers.
