In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for evaluating physical therapy needs and implementing comprehensive, medically prescribed physical therapy treatment to assigned patients in a supervises program of rehabilitation.

Job Responsibilities:

Assesses educational needs of patient, families, and implements a variety of methods for patient/family education and training during rehabilitation process.</li>
<li>Completes all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement. Completes and plans all required documentation in medical chart as required by Department guidelines and JACHO/CARF requirements. Clinical Documentation is through and completes using appropriate medical and clinical terminology. Accurately records all treatment given including completion of the daily treatment record.</li>
<li>Participates in Clinical Education of Fieldwork students and other professional educational endeavors. Teaches and supervises assigned students in the appropriate techniques, skills and procedures. Demonstrates a genuine interest in assisting students in enhancing their knowledge and skill levels. Encourages positive learning experiences for Career Opportunity Students and other Non Fieldwork students.</li>

 Actively participate in recruitment and hiring of APPs.
 Facilitate graduate student placement within the practice.
 
Professional Development
 Actively participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation for orientation and on-boarding for new APPs; serves as a primary resource for new hires.
 Coordinate professional development of APPs by arranging activities (ie. Lecture series, grand rounds) and being available to teammates to nurture professional growth; promote accountability and professionalism within the practice.
 Actively participate in professional organizations and accept personal responsibility for professional development and maintenance of professional competence and credentials.
 
Quality and Evidence-Based Practice Behaviors
 Support the development of quality measure and quality controls for department/practice.
 Support compliance with National Patient Safety Goals related to applicable administrative Joint Commission.
 Oversee follow-up to ONS (Occurrence Notification System) reports related to APPs.
