What Are We Looking For?
Your Health is currently looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our growing primary care family. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide rehabilitative services to patients suffering from physical injuries or disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation of treatment plans, conducting exercises with patients, educating patients on proper techniques for rehabilitation exercises, and documenting patient progress. As well as developing individualized treatment plans, instruct and assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities, monitor patients during therapy sessions, providing guidance and support as needed. Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring that equipment is properly sanitized and maintained. Communicate regularly with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and adjust treatment plans as needed. Assist in the implementation of discharge plans, including providing patients with instructions for continued care and recommending appropriate follow-up services.
Qualifications
<div><ul><li>Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice.</li></ul>
<ul><li>CPR certification.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing rehabilitation.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Physical stamina and dexterity necessary to assist patients with mobility and perform therapeutic activities.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Provide therapy services to residents with musculoskeletal disorders, neurological conditions, balance impairments, and gait or transfer deficits</li><li>Deliver treatment only after receiving a written physician order and treatment plan from the Registered Physical Therapist (RPT)</li><li>Accurately document all treatments, progress notes, and required therapy records</li><li>Participate in facility meetings, training sessions, and required in-services</li><li>Assist the facility in maintaining state, federal, and regulatory compliance standards</li><li>Follow all infection control policies and OBRA Resident Rights guidelines</li><li>Manage and coordinate resident treatment schedules and caseloads</li><li>Communicate with the Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) when productivity levels indicate the need for additional support or resident screenings</li><li>Maintain professional conduct, communication, and appearance while in the facility</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation or facility leadership</li></ul>

The Physical Therapist Assistant reports directly to the Director of Rehabilitation (DOR), who oversees clinical performance, documentation standards, and professional compliance.

The PTA works under the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist (RPT), carrying out treatment plans as prescribed. All therapy documentation will be reviewed and signed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
