2&ndash;5 years of post-residency clinical experience, with at least 18 months in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting</li><li>
Experience treating patients across all age groups</li><li>
Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays</li><li>
Strong communication and listening skills</li><li>
Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers</li></ul>
Your Role
As a Physician at Mercy-GoHealth, you&rsquo;ll independently provide a wide range of clinical services, including:<ul><li>
Examining and treating patients with acute conditions</li><li>
Taking medical histories and ordering diagnostic tests</li><li>
Making diagnoses and prescribing medications</li><li>
Performing minor procedures and administering vaccinations</li><li>
Documenting patient progress and coordinating follow-up care</li><li>

We are seeking a Board-Certified Physician with experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care to join our urgent care team. Physician at ConvenientMD serve as a clinical leader, mentor, and supervising provider, ensuring exceptional patient care, supporting Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and helping to maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence and compliance.

Your Impact</h3>
<ul><li>Deliver Exceptional Patient-Centered Care
<ul><li>Perform comprehensive evaluations including history, physical examination, and medical decision-making.</li>
<li>Diagnose and manage acute illness and injury across the urgent care spectrum.</li>
<li>Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing (e.g., x-rays, EKGs, laboratory studies).</li>
<li>Perform in-office procedures including wound repair, incision and drainage, splinting, joint injections, and other urgent care procedures.</li>
<li>Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans aligned with current clinical standards and best practices.</li>
<li>Ensure efficient, high-quality, and compassionate patient experiences.</li>
</ul></li><li>Serve as Registered Supervising Physician
<ul><li>Provide physician oversight in accordance with state regulations and governing board requirements.</li>
<li>Collaborate with and supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.</li>
<li>Be available for clinical consultation as required by law and company policy.</li>
<li>Participate in chart review and quality assurance processes as applicable.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with all supervisory agreements and documentation standards.</li>
</ul></li><li>Clinical Leadership &amp; Mentorship
<ul><li>Act as the clinical leader within the clinic, especially in the absence of the Practice Manager.</li>
<li>Mentor and support new-graduate and experienced APPs.</li>
<li>Serve as a clinical resource for nursing and allied health staff.</li>
<li>Promote a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Participate in onboarding, training, and ongoing education initiatives.</li>
</ul></li><li>Documentation &amp; Compliance
<ul><li>Maintain complete, accurate, and timely medical documentation in the EMR.</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable federal and state regulations.</li>
<li>Uphold infection-control standards and clinic safety protocols.</li>
<li>Stay current on evolving legislation, clinical guidelines, and professional standards.</li>
<li>Support quality improvement initiatives and risk management efforts.</li>

<ul><li>Work closely with clinic staff to ensure coordinated, thoughtful, and timely patient dispositions&mdash;including transfers when appropriate.</li>
<li>Partner with operational leadership to optimize workflow, patient throughput, and clinical outcomes.</li>
<li>Contribute to a respectful, team-based environment grounded in professionalism and shared purpose.</li>

<ul><li>Education, Licensure, &amp; Certifications:
<ul><li>Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).</li>
<li>Board Certified by the applicable governing board (e.g., ABEM, ABFM, ABIM or other relevant specialty board).</li>
<li>Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.</li>
<li>Eligible and willing to serve as a Registered Supervising Physician in accordance with state requirements.</li>
<li>Active, unrestricted DEA registration.</li>
<li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. We do not accept CPR, ACLS certifications, or online only classes.</li>
</ul></li><li>Relevant experience: Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred.</li>
<li>Strong mentor: Demonstrated experience supervising or collaborating with APPs preferred.</li>
<li>Strong leadership skills: Willing and able to mentor provider as well as non-provider clinic staff.</li>
<li>Excellent team player: Enjoy collaborating with others and being a part of a strong team dynamic.</li>
<li>Proactive and confident communicator (written and verbal): Foreshadows and elevates concerns as they arise, unafraid of professional directness both with colleagues and patients.</li>

 We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physician to join a hospital-employed Urgent Care practice serving two outpatient locations in Florence, South Carolina and Darlington, South Carolina. This position is 100% outpatient, rotating between sites, and scheduled for 40 hours per week.
 The physician will provide timely, high-quality care for patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries in a fast-paced urgent care setting, working collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure efficient and patient-centered care.
 
Responsibilities:

<li>Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries</li>
<li>Perform common urgent care procedures as appropriate</li>
<li>Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging</li>
