Operation of a platform drill Cat 6200 and a Sandvik Leopard DI650i</li><li>
Operates and understands mechanics of a top head drilling unit equipped with multi-function joy sticks and GPS on a mine site</li></ul><ul><li>
Comply with all company, client, legislated safety policies and procedures of drilling in a large open pit surface mine</li></ul><ul><li>
Understands the limitations of the drill rig and the performances it can safely provide</li></ul><ul><li>
Detects and perform small mechanical repairs to the drill</li></ul><ul><li>
Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members when needed with the ability to work with minimal supervision</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Minimum one year&rsquo;s surface drilling experience using various drilling units</li></ul><ul><li>
Would have thorough knowledge of drill patterns and the structure in which they are developed</li></ul><ul><li>
MSHA p.48 metal/nonmetal ticket is required; training and support is provided to obtain or update certificate as needed</li></ul><ul><li>
Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing</li></ul>
Work Conditions<ul><li>
5 days on with 4 days off, working 12 hour days that has the potential to alternate between a day and night shift rotation</li><li>
Overtime rates apply after 40 hours per week and are paid at time and a half</li><li>
Living out allowance provided for those who qualify</li><li>
