Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Performs breakdown repairs whenever required</li><li>
Shows initiative in identifying opportunities to improve plant and machinery performance.</li><li>
Assists in preparing and submitting requirements for spares.</li><li>
Assist Maintenance Supervisor to identify maintenance and shutdown priorities.</li><li>
Develop procedures to control the effective utilization of electrical, instrument &amp; Programable Logic Controller (PLC) systems.</li><li>
Install and maintain electrical, instrument and PLC systems including up to Motor Control Center (MCC) units.</li><li>
Provide technical support for all users.</li><li>
Provide PLC programming modifications to improve process safety &amp; production</li><li>
Provide after hour &ldquo;On-call&rdquo; support for plant on emergency basis.</li><li>
Participate in new &amp; existing process development support and Safety Hazard Reviews</li><li>
Drives failure analysis of instrument &amp; electrical equipment and implements reliability improvement action items.</li><li>
Tracks and coordinates execution of work orders for both electrical reliability and Process Safety Controls/Process Safety Management (PSC/PSM) compliance on electrical/instrument systems.</li><li>
Develops instrument maintenance and reliability skills throughout the maintenance organization.</li><li>
Implements Best Practices for maintenance of control and distribution equipment.</li><li>
Drives the maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with reliability requirements.</li><li>
Promotes a strong belief that all jobs can be performed safely and that no job is worth doing that would risk the health, safety, or welfare of the plant employees or community.</li><li>
Locates and corrects problems (troubleshoots) to restore equipment to operation and design specifications.</li><li>
Work with software in programmable controllers and distributed controller systems (DCS) to make bypasses and troubleshoots.</li><li>
Calibrates equipment to ensure accurate measurement.</li><li>
Disassembles repairs and reassembles equipment/components to replace worn or defective ones.</li><li>
Locks and tags and try equipment to make it inoperable and safe to work on.</li><li>
Use the computer system to create work orders, obtain information of equipment spare parts and create historical.</li><li>
Performs predictive and preventive maintenance task in the electrical/instrument arena.</li><li>
Ability to work with computer programs such as Windows, Microsoft utilities program (Excel, Words, etc.) and availability to continuous improvement in the skill.</li><li>
Work in reliability, especially in the principle of defect elimination.</li><li>
Inspects and test new motors to accept them for installation operation. In case of operational motor, test and replace, if necessary, as per PSM principles.</li><li>
Measures, cuts, bend and install tubing, conduit, and associated equipment to provide it for use.</li><li>
Install electrical bypass (with authorization) to operate selected equipment.</li><li>
Requisitions materials, parts and supplies to have them available to do the work.</li><li>
Assists with rigging to move heavy equipment.</li><li>
Runs electrical wire to provide power or communication from source to equipment.</li><li>
Solders wiring or boards connections to make permanent connections.</li><li>
Communicate with resources, operators, mechanics, and engineers to exchange job information.</li><li>
Write shift logs, maintenance records, inspection sheets, calibration sheets, among others, to communicate and create historical records.</li><li>
Write and review maintenance procedures to provide them for use by operators and mechanics.</li><li>
Replaces lamps, ballast, fixtures, photocells, etc. to provide correctly to operation.</li><li>
Cleans work areas to maintain site housekeeping standards.</li><li>
Depending on the organizational structure and practices for Maintenance Work Management, may need to perform the following SAP-PM transactions:</li><li>

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:</b> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function/duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:</b> Associate degree (AD) in Electronics, Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent form two-year college or technical school; and a minimum of three years of experience in the area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
LANGUAGE SKILLS:</b> Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Basic knowledge of oral/written skills in English and Spanish. Interacts with Area management, Resources, Operations Technicians, Contractors, Engineers and Suppliers.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:</b> Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as factions, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to represent data in graphic arts.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
REASONING ABILITIES:</b> Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule forms.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
COMPETENCIES:</b> In addition to the skills listed above, computer skills and well as a PLC and DCS knowledge are desirable. Able to work in teams and to continuously improve day to day activities.</p><p></p><p><b>
Compensation:</b> $35/hr plus differential for night hours</p><p>
