PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.</li><li>
Documents the provider's encounter with patients. Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as discharge/follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider.</li><li>
Transcribes patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications. Completes patient's charts by transcribing results of any labs, x-rays, or other evaluations. Continuously checks the progress of data availability for orders, to ensure the patient's workup is complete so that the provider is able to make treatment decisions regarding that patient.</li><li>
Transcribes consultations or discussions with family and/or the patient's private physician or the on-call physician.</li><li>
Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, scheduling patients, and filing.</li><li>
Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.</li><li>
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.</li><li>
