The Electrical Power Production Technician installs, operates, and modifies electrical generating power production plants and Ground/Mobile Power Generation equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

</li></ul>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:
<ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent.
</li><li>A minimum of 5 (five) years&rsquo; experience in functions such as operation and maintenance of engines, generators, and distribution components of electric power production equipment to include a variety of makes/models.
</li><li>Task-certified 5-Level AAS Power Pro
</li><li>Completion of a basic electrical power production course in the military, trade school or Union shop is desired.

Electrical Power Production Technician

We are hiring an experienced Caterpillar (CAT) diesel generator technician to support inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and overhaul work on CAT generator sets. Job Profile:<ul><li>Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of generator electrical systems including alternators, control panels, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and synchronization systems.</li><li>Perform repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of GE, SOCOMEC, ABB, and ACB-type ATS systems, including wiring, contactor/ACB mechanisms, and control logic.</li><li>Conduct controller replacement, programming, and configuration for generator control systems (Deep Sea, ComAp, Woodward, etc.).</li><li>Understand and interpret controller and ATS wiring diagrams, perform wiring modifications, terminations, and fault rectification as required.</li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in generators, control circuits, sensors, relays, and protection devices.</li><li>Conduct testing, calibration, and functional verification of electrical and control components.</li><li>Perform preventive and corrective maintenance (PPM/CM) in line with standard procedures.</li><li>Carry out load testing, synchronization, and commissioning of generators and ATS systems at site or workshop.</li><li>Coordinate with mechanical technicians to ensure full operational readiness of generator sets.</li><li>Maintain accurate records, service reports, and inspection checklists for all activities performed.</li><li>Ensure strict adherence to company safety standards, electrical codes, and QHSE regulations.</li><li>Support senior engineers during project execution, control upgrades, and system modifications.</li></ul>Qualification and Experience:<ul><li>Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.</li></ul><ul><li>Minimum 3&ndash;5 years of hands-on experience in generator electrical systems (preferably Perkins, Cummins, FG Wilson, etc.).</li><li>Strong experience in ATS systems (GE, SOCOMEC, ABB, ACB-type) &mdash; installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.</li><li>Proficient in controller replacement, wiring, programming, and fault diagnosis (Deep Sea, ComAp, Woodward, etc.).</li><li>Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical and control wiring diagrams.</li><li>Knowledge of generator protection, synchronization, and load management systems.</li><li>Competent in the use of electrical testing tools (multimeter, megger, clamp meter, etc.).</li><li>Basic understanding of mechanical aspects of generator operation.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.</li><li>Safety-conscious, disciplined, and capable of working independently or in a team</li></ul>Preferred Skills:<ul><li>Experience with industrial and standby power systems.</li><li>Familiarity with control upgrades, ATS interlocks, and synchronization panels.</li><li>Valid Qatar Driving License (if applicable).</li></ul>Work Environment:<ul><li>Workshop and field-based work (indoor and outdoor).</li><li>May require emergency call-outs, night shifts, or site visits based on operational requirements</li></ul>Joining Time	:	ImmediateJob Location	:	Qatar ( Candidate should be in Qatar with NOC and valid QID)If you are interested, please send your CV to info.hed@qatari-industrial.comJob Type: Full-timePay: From QAR2,500.00 per month
