Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) provides academic, financial, and personal support to undergraduate students who meet New York State Education Department guidelines for educational and economic disadvantage. The program is grounded in a commitment to identifying students with the ability and motivation to succeed in higher education, but whose circumstances have limited access to opportunity, and to creating an environment where their potential can be fully realized.<br>

The Assistant Director may serve on university committees, attend off-campus meetings as the HEOP Director&rsquo;s designee, and perform additional duties as assigned. The Assistant Director will be supported with opportunities for professional development, including workshops, conferences, training sessions, and coursework, as approved by the HEOP Director and senior leadership. Minimum Qualifications

<p>ROLE OVERVIEW: Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director<br/></p><p>Great Oaks Legacy Charter School (GOLCS) is seeking an experienced, like-minded urban educator to lead its Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program located at the GOLCS High School campus in Newark, NJ. The CTE Director will ensure the efficient operation and management of the Career and Technical Education programs and supports the overall educational responsibility of the system. Child Care Workers relief personnel or volunteers are accountable to the Child Care Worker on duty.</p><p>Under the direction of the Director, the Child Care Worker II assumes additional responsibilities within the recreation program, which includes the implementation of recreational activities, developing recreational plans and activities for other Child Care Workers, developing weekly and monthly recreation schedules, monitoring all recreational activities, developing and submitting, at least monthly, but more frequently as needed, recreation program reports to the Hope House Management Team, which includes the Director and the Executive Director.</p><p>In the absence of the Director, the Child Care Worker II can also act as the Shift Supervisor on Duty.</p><p><b>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><p>&middot; Participates with the Hope House Management Team in developing program curriculum and recreational activities for shelter residents;</p><p>&middot; Provides supervision of program and leisure time activities of residents, including supervising the recreational and leisure activities provided by Child Care Worker I;</p><p>&middot; Provides training and supports to Child Care Worker I in performing approved recreational and leisure time activities;</p><p>&middot; Assists Director in gathering and ensuring all documentation and record keeping for shelter;</p><p>&middot; Provides residents with a high level of staff interaction and trauma informed care;</p><p>&middot; Provides emergency first aid as needed;</p><p>&middot; Performs intake when resident comes to shelter;</p><p>&middot; Maintains cleanliness of shelter;</p><p>&middot; Prepares meals and snacks during mealtime and snack time, per the pre-approved menu plan;</p><p>&middot; Maintains up-to-date case records;</p><p>&middot; Supervises volunteers;</p><p>&middot; Receives twelve (12) hours of in-service training each fiscal year;</p><p>&middot; Maintains current first aid and CPR certification;</p><p>&middot; Is knowledgeable of the Policy &amp; Procedure Manual;</p><p>&middot; Conducts shift change staffing;</p><p>&middot; 24-Hour supervision of residents;</p><p>&middot; Attends staff meetings;</p><p>&middot; Aides and support residents in performing chores;</p><p>&middot; All other duties as assigned.</p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:</b> Child Care staff must possess adequate education, training, and experience to perform the essential functions of the position.</p><p>&middot; Must be 21 years of age or older;</p><p>&middot; CPR/First Aid Certified (will be provided during training);</p><p>&middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Psychology, Child Development, Education or related field is required for the Child Care II position</p><p>Pay: From $16.00 per hour</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>
