The Estimator organizes estimating activities of specific projects as they relate to estimating and preconstruction activities. This candidate MUST HAVE MULTI-FAMILY EXPERIENCE. The Estimator prepares accurate and well-crafted bids/proposals that result in awarded contracts that are profitable and maintain the quality expected from the NRP Group. The Estimator is also a key person in developing and nurturing relationships with our vendors and clients. The Estimator works under very tight time frames and is responsible for handling multiple bids/proposals and responsibilities simultaneously.
Essential Functions Statement(s): 
 
Schedule<ul><li>
Create a job specific preconstruction schedule.</li><li>
Set-up and attend pre-bid walk-throughs.</li><li>
Quality</li><li>
Review and analyze drawings, specifications, proposals and other documents during the various stages of design.</li></ul>
Budget<ul><li>
Develop invitation to bid.</li><li>
Review and analyze subcontractor proposals.</li><li>
Create overall project bid summary.</li><li>
Review bid summary with director of preconstruction.</li><li>
Management</li><li>
Create the project general conditions.</li><li>
Solicit vendors and subcontractors for a project and ensure good bid coverage.</li><li>
Create scopes of work for all subcontractors.</li></ul>
SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES 
 
Education:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (Engineering or Construction Management a plus) or equivalent work experience</li></ul>
Experience:<ul><li>
1-5 years of relevant experience estimating construction projects; multi-family experience preferred.</li><li>
Familiarity with conceptual estimating, writing detailed scopes of work and reading blueprints.</li></ul>
Technical Skills:<ul><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel for tracking construction costing.</li><li>
Experience with On-Screen Takeoff and Sage estimating software programs a plus.</li></ul>

We are seeking a result-driven senior level estimator with experience in multifamily estimating to be an integral part of our preconstruction team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years&rsquo; experience demonstrating a unique ability to perform conceptual, schematic, and design development budgets, detailed cost estimates and delivering quantity take-offs in partnership with the project management and field operations team.

Experience with multifamily is a plus.
