Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design &amp; Construction team is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to serve as Amazon's senior owner's representative during the preconstruction phase of facility delivery. In this role, you will autonomously manage complex, cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects &mdash; from site selection and validation through design management, permitting, and contract execution &mdash; for new builds, retrofits, expansions, and program initiatives across your assigned region. 
You will own project budgets, oversee design management end-to-end, select and manage external vendor partners, and lead project procurement &mdash; while partnering with internal teams including Real Estate, Design Engineering, Finance, and Construction, and external stakeholders including architects, engineers, developers, landlords, and permitting agencies. Projects include fulfillment centers, sortation centers, delivery stations, and auxiliary buildings supporting Amazon's logistics network, ranging from targeted renovations to large-scale new facility builds. You will deliver a mix of tactical and strategic initiatives (60% tactical / 40% strategic) that impact multiple teams and geographies, and you will guide and mentor other preconstruction managers while contributing to the development of Amazon's construction community. 
 
This role requires 60% regional travel and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Candidates should either live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Relocation assistance may be provided. 
 
Key job responsibilities

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking an experienced Design Manager or Project Manager to support municipal water and wastewater projects from early pursuit through GMP development. Based in the Jacksonville, Florida area, this hybrid role supports projects ranging from $4M to $500M and is well suited for an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager transitioning from daily project execution into a strategic preconstruction and collaborative delivery role.
 
The Design Manager leads planning, coordination, budgeting, risk analysis, and stakeholder engagement during the pursuit and preconstruction phases.  Senior Construction Procurement Agent: $107,257 - $135,508

Construction Procurement Agent I, II, Senior

Reports To: Senior Purchasing Agent/Preconstruction Manager
 FLSA Status: Exempt
 
ISEC is seeking Construction Procurement Agents at all levels to join our Spokane office. Whether you’re just starting your construction career or you’re a seasoned Project Engineer ready to take on exciting new opportunities, we encourage you to apply.
 
Position Summary
 Responsible for purchasing materials and coordinating activities involved with procuring goods and services to assist in the successful bidding and execution of projects. Requests bids then analyses vendor pricing and capacity, to meet budget and project requirements, negotiating if necessary. Presents recommendations to project teams and prepares contracts for the work.
 
Duties & Responsibilities

<li>Review specifications and architectural drawings to confirm scope of work, including material and labor requirements</li>
<li>Request quotes, analyze pricing and compliance, prepare contracts and process the required documentation</li>
<li>Actively develops budgets, schedules and performance plans to meet customer and company goals and objectives</li>
<li>Work directly with estimators, CAD Technicians and Project Managers</li>

Job Summary:

The Business Development Project Engineer provides support to Senior Project Development Manager primarily in Neveda, Arizona, California and Utah. This position will involve significant travel to meet and interact with clients, travel to industry functions, attend jobsite visits as well as other related project development travel. In addition, you will be expected to work collaboratively under the direction of the Senior Project Development Manager and Manager of Preconstruction Services and keep them updated with your contacts and potential projects on an ongoing basis and work within the company structure to strategically attain civil projects that benefit the Company.

The position will provide support to marketing, developing, and proposing on projects with strategic significance and other clients based on a strategy and focus that you develop in coordination with the Senior Project Development Manager and Manager of Preconstruction Services in order to gain geotechnical and heavy civil construction project contracts for HW. You will report to Manager of Preconstruction Services. 


As stated above, you will be expected to travel extensively as part of this role. Percent travel should be expected to be 50-75% of your time. When not traveling position will be remotely based in one of the following locations: Arizona, California, Neveda or Utah. 
Essential Responsibilities:

<li>Provides more advanced administrative support throughout the preconstruction process to ensure to meet clients&rsquo; needs, proposal deadlines, responsible pricing, etc.</li>

 The Preconstruction Administrative Assistant (PCAA) provides administrative and documentation support to the Preconstruction Department as a whole, rather than being assigned to a single project.
