<div>Dart Container is looking for a Temporary Part-Time Associate Graphic Artist (Tuesday - Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM) for our team to create and modify custom artwork to be printed on our products and/or packaging. This position will use various computer applications to duplicate customer art and to prepare production-ready artwork that meets our precise manufacturing specifications and customer expectations.

Day-to-Day Role:<ul><li>
Modify customer artwork to prepare digital art files that meet department standards and that fulfill precise manufacturing specifications.</li><li>
Prepare final proof artwork for customer orders to be printed on product and/or packaging. Product mockups may be needed for speculative customer orders</li><li>
Apply proper prepress techniques to prepare digital art for Dry Offset and Flexographic plate output and printing</li><li>
Create unique designs for customers that meet manufacturing standards</li><li>
Assist with special projects and/or expanded departmental responsibilities where appropriate. This may include cross training to assist in related areas and/or proofing artwork to ensure that it meets our print specifications</li></ul>
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:<ul><li>
Associates Degree in Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, Illustration, Commercial Art, or related field</li><li>
Demonstrated graphic design and/or illustration skills</li><li>
Two (2) years of experience with Adobe Illustrator software in a professional setting</li><li>
One (1) year of experience with Adobe Photoshop software in a professional setting</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>
Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes</li><li>

About the Role</h2>
This position is an omni-channel role responsible for final delivery of graphic assets and marketing 
materials for all channels, including print, digital, social, and OOH formats to print vendors, Web Content Development

Create final mechanicals for all printed marketing materials, including retouched artwork, correct print-specific color specs,</li><li>

Job Description</h1>
For the assigned accounts, act as the primary graphics contact and consultant for BPP Customer Service, Sales, Operations, and Customers. Accomplish this by thorough communication and representation of the needs and expectations of all parties involved.
Scope - to provide support to the facility with all graphics related process and procedures.
Duties<ul><li>Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.</li><li>Recreates art from sample or electronic files to our specifications and troubleshoots incoming digital files.</li><li>Interacts with BPP Customer Service, Sales, Operations, and Customers (and their graphics agencies and/or customers) to collaborate on graphics orders to ensure they will be clear and accurate about the art and re-producible on the press.</li><li>Communicates by phone, in person, e-mail, and voice-mail with all involved parties to facilitate satisfaction of all needs and expectations; including timing, quality, and cost.</li><li>Supports a 24/7 operation by fielding questions via phone during non-business hours. The GA is expected to have the flexibility to support their projects during off-hours.</li><li>Enters detailed information from Graphics Orders into order tracking systems; i.e. File Maker, Job History, and GSR. Also be able to understand Order Status, Plate Spec, Color Folder and Spec Viewer.</li><li>Completes a quality review on Proofs prior to their shipment to customers.</li><li>Submits clear instructions to those who are responsible for completing separations and trapping.</li><li>Handles QC for digital, film and/or plates for imperfections.</li><li>Monitors invoicing data to ensure complete and accurate data.</li><li>Manages graphics projects in a manner that will at times include plant site interaction with customers, Customer Service staff or Printing staff during non-standard working hours.</li><li>Participates in on-site press approvals.</li><li>Promotes and or participates in high performance work teams throughout the organization in accordance with World Class Operations Management initiatives and promotes department participation.</li><li>Other tasks assigned as by the Graphics Manager.</li></ul>
Requirements<ul><li>Proficient on Macintosh computers, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator and other Creative Suite software is preferred.</li><li>Basic and knowledge of MS-Excel, MS-Word, and MS-Outlook.</li><li>Knowledge of File Maker and Esko software an advantage.</li><li>Strong communications skills, both oral and written, to successfully interact with Customer Service, Sales, Operations, Customers, Vendors, outside Design Agencies, and Bemis Graphics personnel.</li><li>Strong administrative and organizational skills to handle a large volume of work-flow (paper and/or electronic) and determine and/or respond appropriate priorities.</li><li>Ability to work in multi-task, multi-priority, high volume, and high velocity environment, with minimal supervision and direction.</li><li>Exhibited conscientious attention to detail, through successful work in similar environments.</li><li>Must have a pleasant personality, professional appearance, tact, and the ability to effectively communicate.</li><li>Able and willing to work over-time on planned or short-notice, and in some periods, significant and on-going, to complete given projects, or to respond to surges, seasonal or otherwise, in business volume.</li><li>Basic knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques (WCOM).</li><li>Good level of business acumen as it relates to graphics</li></ul>

Compensation</h1>
The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $51,100 to $63,900; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $51,100 to $76,700 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for Amcor&rsquo;s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits. The salary range provided reflects the anticipated base pay for this role at the time of this posting.
