Job Summary: The DECA Associate Teacher (DAT) is a full-time, yearlong teaching residency designed for aspiring educators who are eager to learn, grow, and make an impact in the classroom. SUMMARY OF PRIMARY FUNCTION
 The Preschool Assistant Teacher takes direction from and supports the Teacher in conducting classroom activities, maintaining classroom environment and supervising children. The Preschool Assistant Teacher may also assist in planning and record keeping as requested by the Teacher. This position also works with the Teacher to complete other classroom related duties as determined. Helps recruit potential parents by providing information to them about the various program services and benefits offered to enrolled children and families.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Classroom Operations
 1. Assists the teacher with implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children.
 2. Supports the readiness of children for school by assisting in developing their literacy, math, social emotional, early art, science and social studies skills, problem solving abilities, and approaches to learning.
 3. Tends to children's personal hygiene needs, including diaper changing, cleaning, feeding, and changing soiled or wet clothes.
 4. Assists with developmental screenings within the specified timeframes.
 5. Assists the teacher in implementing the daily schedule and weekly lesson plans.

Safety & Sanitation
 1. Maintains a safe, clean, care-giving environment, practices good personal hygiene and hand washing, and assures the well-being and safety of all of the children in that environment.

 3. Protects all children from physical punishment or verbal abuse by anyone in any program activity, and immediately reports any such incident to the person in charge.

 5. Posts and complies with safety, sanitation and other guidelines for serving enrolled children (i.e., Child Care Licensing Standards, Head Start Performance Standards, Tri-Valley policy).

As a Preschool Teacher, you will: 
</div>
<ul><li>Be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for 1 year old babies.</li>
<li>Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P curriculum using our fun and engaging characters, making TLE a place where learning is fun!</li>
<li>Build relationships with families and colleagues, creating a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.</li>
<li>Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements through various avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.</li>

Do You Have: 
</div>
<ul><li>A genuine passion for the education and care of children and babies?</li>
<li>Atleast 2+ years of professional teaching experience in a childcare facility and caring for infants and/or babies (required)? 3-4 years of experience with babies, is preferred.</li>
<li>CPR and first aid certification?</li>
<li>Ability to meet state/local childcare licensing requirement?<ul>
<li>CDA Credential: A current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential from the Council for Professional Recognition is a common requirement.</li>
<li>Associate's Degree: An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is another option.</li>
<li>Technical Certificates/Diplomas: A Technical College Diploma (TCD) or Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education or Child Development also meets the requirement.</li>
<li>Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree, especially in Early Childhood Education, is another acceptable qualification.</li>
<li>Other Credentials: In some cases, 25 quarter hours or 15 semester hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Child Development may be accepted.</li>

We are passionate about building strong relationships with children and families, and we are currently seeking a caring and dedicated full time preschool teacher and a part time school age teacher to join our team.As the part time school age teacher, you will supervises children (typically ages 5-12) from roughly 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, focusing on providing a safe, engaging environment after school. Key responsibilities include implementing activity plans, supervising indoor/outdoor play, assisting with homework, and managing snack time, and closing the center at the end of the day.The preschool teacher creates a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children, focusing on developmental milestones through play-based learning. They design lesson plans, maintain classroom safety and hygiene, manage daily routines, and communicate progress with parents. Key roles include fostering social skills, promoting literacy, and providing individualized care.
