The Manager, Pricing Strategy will provide subject matter expertise, project management, and analytical support to the development and execution of Pricing Strategies. The Manager will understand the needs of constituencies, including the merchants, Pro team, and our subsidiaries, to develop and test hypothesis as well as to work with the development team to prioritize IT development. The Manager will work with cross functional partners, including marketing, ops, strategy and others to ensure end to end thinking on strategy and execution. The Pricing Manager will manage Senior Analysts in an effort to support corporate level pricing initiatives and advocate for implementing pricing best practices.</p><p><b><br>
Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
50% Develop relationships with cross functional partners to collaborate and to determine company goals and objectives, conduct standard and ad hoc analysis to identify key drivers of performance, recommend pricing decisions and strategies that will improve category performance and develop financial plans that reflect pricing changes.</li><li>
Typical analysis will include: (a) marketplace and macroeconomic trends impacting the category including competitive assessment, (b) customer segmentation and responsiveness (c) line structure and line structure engineering, (d) localization, including defining pricing zone definition, (e) promotional effectiveness, (f) transaction and basket penetration, (g) consumer psychology.</li><li>
Develop executive-level presentations that summarize analysis including historical performance, strategic rationale underpinning pricing decisions and expected financial impact.</li><li>
Report out to all levels of management. Accountable for accuracy, thoroughness, thought process, timeliness and viability of recommendations.</li><li>
50% Develop the necessary communication to leadership to gain alignment and partner with IT and other cross functional teams to prioritize efforts that support the execution of strategies.</li><li>
Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Planning, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is required. Strong understanding of marketplace operations, listing setup, merchandising, and performance management</li><li>
Experience launching products and growing sales within an online marketplace environment</li><li>
