This team is responsible for sourcing proprietary, transaction-level credit intelligence across live and announced private equity-related transactions. Unlike traditional newsrooms, our model is data-first, capturing structured intelligence rather than producing news stories.
You will play a pivotal role in expanding our real-time credit intelligence coverage. The focus is on the completeness, accuracy and speed of data capture - not editorial output. What You'll Do/Own</h3><div>
<ul>
<li>Unit-level economic analysis by customer, market, and job type, using it to partner with the business on where to push and where to pull back.
</li>
<li>Quantify the impact of our investments through analysis and experimentation, working closely with product and operations.
</li>
<li>Pressure-test new investments. Build the 80/20 ROI case to make go/no-go decisions.
</li>
<li>Help secure new customers by refining and owning our pricing models.
</li>
<li>Build and own the company&rsquo;s financial forecast and annual plan. Set the cadence, drive the inputs for each function, and hold the business to the number.
</li>
<li>Analyze business and financial performance each month. Name, quantify and explain the drivers simply and succinctly, internally and to our PE partners.
</li>
<li>Automate the reporting grind (Looker / Excel / Python) so your time goes to insight, not data wrangling.
</li>
</ul></div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">What You Bring</h3><div>
<ul>
<li>4-6 years in corporate finance, business operations/analytics, investment banking, or private equity. High-growth, tech environments are strongly preferred.
</li>
<li>Fluency in unit economics and contribution-margin thinking. You see a P&amp;L as a system of drivers, not a stack of line items.
</li>
<li>Strong financial modeling. You build three-statement, scenario, and sensitivity models with curiosity and business acumen.
</li>
<li>SQL, Python, and BI tools like Looker and Tableau. You either know them or you&rsquo;ll learn them fast. Same goes for using Claude and other AI tools to automate the reporting grind and move faster than the team that&rsquo;s still doing it by hand.
</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s in finance, economics, accounting, or a quantitative field.
</li>
<li>Marketplace, on-demand, logistics, or insurance-adjacent experience a plus.
</li>
<li>High tolerance for speed, ambiguity, and direct feedback. You go from raw data to a recommendation without being managed to it.
