About The Role: 
The Area Process Manager – Recovery at the Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF) Riegelwood Mill will provide leadership to the Recovery team and Operation shift crews to achieve or exceed the targeted goals. Targeted goals include safety leadership, environmental compliance, reliability and operational excellence. A successful candidate empowers employees and leads the implementation of processes and systems designed to stabilize and improve the manufacturing process for the Recovery area. In this role you will:

<li>Actively engage operating teams to foster a resilient safety culture</li>
<li>Understand environmental regulations and ensure compliance is met</li>
<li>Ensure the department complies with requirements of the Power Technology Policy Manuals (Recovery Boiler, Power Boiler, Turbine Generator, and Balance of Plant – “Orange Book”)</li>
<li>Provide oversight leadership to the MWS team for Recovery area</li>
<li>Drive for continuous improvements in operating strategies to drive for improved efficiency and reduced energy cost</li>
<li>Frequently interface with other operating departments to ensure operational stability across the mill</li>
<li>Complete annual outage preparation, planning and execution. Complete and maintain all required documentation</li>

About You: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

<li>Minimum of 5 years of relevant Power/Recovery operations or maintenance management experience. Supervisor experience preferred.</li>

<div>The Manager, Process &amp; Automation Strategy is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for driving operational transformation through process optimization and automation design. This role identifies inefficiencies, analyzes workflows, and develops detailed business requirements for automation and process redesign. Acting as a strategic advisor, the Manager partners with stakeholders to ensure solutions are feasible and aligned with organizational goals, then transitions to the change enablement team for implementation.
This position requires strong leadership presence, the ability to influence cross-functional teams, and expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Essential Functions
<ul><li>Conduct deep-dive assessments of operational workflows to uncover inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
</li><li>Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to validate improvement potential and quantify expected benefits.
</li><li>Develop future-state process maps and automation concepts aligned with business objectives.
</li><li>Create comprehensive business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for automation and process changes.
</li><li>Direct and coordinate efforts of cross-functional teams (IT, Operations, vendors) during solution design phases.
</li><li>Coach and mentor employees on Lean Six Sigma principles while promoting a culture of continuous improvement through structured problem-solving and informal guidance.
</li><li>Build cost-benefit analyses and ROI models for proposed automation initiatives.
</li><li>Monitor post-implementation results and recommend iterative improvements.
</li><li>Maintain a prioritized pipeline of process improvement opportunities.
</li><li>Stay current on automation technologies (RPA, workflow tools, API integrations) and best practices.
</li></ul>Required Education and Experience
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
</li><li>7 years in process improvement, business analysis, or automation strategy roles.
</li><li>Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred.
</li><li>Proven experience leading complex initiatives with measurable business impact.
</li><li>Strong understanding of automation technologies (RPA, workflow platforms, API-driven solutions).
</li><li>Exceptional ability to influence stakeholders and drive decisions without direct authority.
</li><li>Experience in financial services or operations environments.
</li><li>Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, PMP).
</li></ul>Physical Demands
