CBS Newspath is seeking a Producer with a strong commitment to journalism to coordinate news production and newsgathering operations for its Regional team. This position helps manage the network's response to breaking news and responds to video and editorial requests from CBS broadcasts, owned stations, affiliates, and clients. Excellent people/customer service skills are required. The Producer is also responsible for clipping and publishing Newspath video and scripts and assisting in the transmission and distribution of live video, edited video and correspondent packages. 
The candidate must have experience in working with sources to confirm and verify facts and video elements, especially during breaking news.
The person in this position will work directly with stations/affiliates in the southern part of the United States including Florida, Texas, and the Carolinas. A strong knowledge of weather, politics, immigration, and other topics that impact this region is required.
Candidate must be familiar with all major social media platforms and vehicles for engaging audiences on a digital level. This includes - but is not limited to - Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and YouTube. Requirements</div><div> 
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred.</li><li>1-3 years of news content experience, ideally with experience in show production.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple aspects of newscast production under tight deadlines.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for coordinating within the newsroom and adapting plans in high-pressure, live situations.</li><li>Ability to maintain composure and adaptability during breaking news and high-stakes events.</li><li>Proficiency in news production tools preferred, with a willingness to learn new systems for production coding and show direction.</li><li>Knowledge of vMix, Edius, or similar production platforms is beneficial but not required.</li><li>A collaborative, growth-focused approach to leadership that aligns with the station's commitment to innovation and community engagement.</li></ul></div>
