Role overview description</div><div>
We&rsquo;re looking for a Product Architect to join our Ventures Access &amp; Security team to support the capture, definition and communication of product requirements. The team is responsible for the development of fare collection device and software products, with the current focus on fare gates, fare gate device management, and computer-vision based detection systems. Development is built on directed agile, where the definition of Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), and the detailing of those product requirements for engineering execution, are essential steps in the process. You will be working closely with our product engineering teams for hardware, device software and cloud applications, UI/UX, with our Product Delivery Managers, business owners, and other internal stakeholders. You will be fully aligned with our product roadmap and strategic direction.</div><div>
The Product Architect is responsible for specifying the technical blueprint (solution and requirements) of a product and its subsystems. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to architect and implement secure, scalable, and future-ready solutions in a regulated industry.</b></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><b>Architect and lead delivery of end-to-end digital solutions across web and mobile platforms aligned with business and technology strategies.</b></li><li><b>Define and enforce architecture principles, best practices, and standards across delivery and platform teams.</b></li><li><b>Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendor partners to ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture and compliance requirements.</b></li><li><b>Lead technical solutioning for integrations with core systems (e.g., loan origination, CRM, payment gateways, identity platforms) and cloud-based services.</b></li><li><b>Drive continuous improvement in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and platform observability.</b></li><li><b>Support cloud transformation initiatives, including platform migrations and modernization using AWS, Azure, or other hybrid cloud environments.</b></li><li><b>Guide development teams with clear technical direction and ensure platform scalability, security, and performance.</b></li><li><b>Contribute to architectural governance, solution reviews, and the definition of KPIs for technical delivery and operational maturity.</b></li><li><b>Help shape and evolve long-term technology roadmaps, increasing alignment with digital business objectives.</b></li><li><b>Experience leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of software engineers, providing guidance, support, and feedback.</b></li></ul><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><b>15+ years of experience in software architecture and solution design, preferably in financial services, banking, or automotive finance.</b></li><li><b>Experience delivering large-scale solutions involving cloud-native architectures, modern web frameworks, and enterprise-grade integration patterns.</b></li><li><b>Proven ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines and lead DevOps adoption in regulated environments.</b></li><li><b>Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including identity, security, networking, and data integration.</b></li><li><b>Familiarity with enterprise financial systems (loan servicing, origination, collections, billing, etc.) and integrations across heterogeneous systems.</b></li><li><b>Experience working in regulated industries, with attention to compliance, data protection, and auditability.</b></li><li><b>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to influence and align cross-functional teams around a shared technical vision.</b></li><li><b>Ability to lead in agile, hybrid delivery models and collaborate with globally distributed teams.</b></li><li><b>Familiarity with microservices, API-first design, and integration middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Apigee) is a plus.</b></li><li><b>Experience with metrics-based performance evaluation and DevOps maturity frameworks is preferred.</b></li><li><b>General knowledge of web development standard methodologies around accessibility, performance, SEO and production monitoring.</b></li><li><b>Experience in JavaScript frameworks like React and React Native.</b></li><li><b>Solid knowledge with open-source stack technologies, and webapp/API security. </b></li><li><b>Strong technical background on crafting and developing enterprise digital applications micro front-end strategy and open micro service architectures. </b></li><li><b>Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and integrating front-end components with backend services.</b></li><li><b>Multiple years of experience with software engineering best practices (unit testing, automation, design patterns, peer review, etc.).</b></li><li><b>proficiency in JAVA Springboot.</b></li></ul><p>Job Type: Contract</p><p>Pay: $78.00 - $80.00 per hour</p><p>Work Location: In person</p>
